Bought for an elderly parent. She has thin skin and poor circulation problems at her age. This product helps to ensure protection and better compression for her legs. I’m pleased so is she.

Comes double vacuum packed, so not a huge surprise to have strong odor. But old tire, hot rubber smell permeated room after opening package. I couldn't wait 24hr to see if smell disappeared by air so i machine washed on delicate then air dried overnight. Satisfactory after washing with scented Gain. User tolerated residual smell without noticing.Great price for what this is, a neoprene wrap with 3 Velcro tabs. Get 4 compared to others’ price of 1 or pair. Using for arms and legs to help with compression & circulation, so I needed 4. Velcro is strong, no other complaints beyond initial smell.

My doctor has been adamant about me wearing compression for healing my wounds. The problem though was my nerve pain. When the nerves in my legs or sciatica would begin to go crazy due to the compression.I was to a point where, what was I going to do? My problem was one, I could get the compression socks off but needed assistance getting them on. Two, what was the use if it was going to send the nerves crazy on certain days? I wasn't able to take on and off several times a day.Then, I found these. A compression sleeve that I can control the amount of compression. Tighter when needed and loosening when my legs became unhappy. The velcro makes for easy on and off.Now, like all things there can be a downside. They can become hot and trap in moisture. But, the upside was that I could easily remove and replace when needed.I have found that I'm more willing and comfortable with this type of compression compared to the cut to size tubies or socks. Now that I am afforded the control of how much compression and when to wear.Now, for those with larger calves, I had no problem with these fitting. I normally would need to order boots for larger calves where even then, some were tight. But, I actually have quite a bit of give in these for when I need to loosen them up. Doctor suggested wearing support stockings but they were a pain to get on and off. Substituted these and they are a great replacement. Velcro enables finding the best degree of tightness and installs in seconds. They have reduced leg pain for this senior doing heavy work in the yard. Highly recommended!

Working out in the gym, I keep banging my shins causing big bruises. I've been using a bruise reducing cream with arnica, and it helps after the fact. These shin guards should help reduce getting bruised in the first place. I have been using them for a month or so. They are comfortable, easy on, easy off. My legs do sweat underneath, so have to air out the guards when I've taken them off. No new bruises.Recommend highly.
