This was VERY challenging to put together--do it carefully!! The track for the drawers broke as I was putting in the final drawer and now the it barely opens but if I pull hard enough it does open. I am not happy with it exactly, but I just didn’t want to have to take it allllll apart to return it… but it’ll do the trick. Update: The seller sent me replacement tracks after this review, and while it was annoying to have to do it twice, I was super careful this time around and it is working as it should. Very grateful for the good customer service and for a fully working filing cabinet!

I was initially worried about the quality and durability, but my wife has a different style of the same brand and she loves it. So yes, it is strong enough to hold file folders properly. I got away with not installing any of the roller casters. I simply attached adhesive felt pads on the bottom. As long as you only open one drawer at a time, it is not tippy. I didn't want the heavy metal industrial look for my essential papers in my home office, and this fit the bill nicely.

We bought this and the five drawer version. This one is slightly more wobbly than the 5 drawer because of how it’s designed, so I don’t see it holding up as long as the 5 drawer, but the quality is decent so it’s worth the price. It was also fairly easy to put together, so that was nice. I may add some small corner brackets at some point to stiffen it up a bit but it’s good enough at the moment to leave it as-is.

So easy to use

This is a two drawer wooden filing cabinet. It looks ok now that I put it together but it was very hard to assemble. The directions are difficult to interpret, the diagrams are missing important information, are very unclear, and very small. It took me 14 hours of almost nonstop work to finally get it together. Now that it is together I can tell that the slides that allow the two file drawer to slide in and out will fail because they are attached to the sides of the wooden cabinet. One other thing: When the drawers are pulled out the cabinet tries to fall over. I would like to return this filing cabinet but I cant now because I already put it together. On other thing. When the drawers are pulled out their weight tries to tip the cabinet over. That is why there is a 5th wheel on the front. It is very annoying because it is hard to get files out of the drawers.

Great looking product, arrived well packaged and all screws and other fasteners well identified to help associate them with their role in the assembly instructions provided by Seller. That said, I was unsuccessful in my efforts to assemble the file cabinet and got only to Step 5 out 20. The panels and other wood products are very heavy and difficult even for two people to manage. I ended up in Step 5, while trying to connect 4 panels together, the weight split the pieces from each other, the wood encasing the screws gave way, the panels themselves split. I have no ability now to piece the cabinet together. I'm not inexperienced at putting together complicated assemblies but putting together even complicated toys for children is nothing compared to putting together a 60 pound cabinet. I think the Seller should warn purchasers about the difficulty of assembly before purchase. I wish I had been able to complete the project because I know I would have loved it had I been able to put it together. C'est la vie!

I love it! Had doubts it was going to be worth it for the amazing price but it is... easy to assemble and very sturdy. Very sturdy spacious perfect size and well worth it

I’m writing this review after a really great customer service experience. The product was great to begin with and I’m sure I’d have reviewed it anyway but I’m writing it now because they asked if I’d share my, obviously positive experience. If you look at my other reviews, I only write positive ones, and I only review products I love. So, I bought this cabinet for my home office because it has a lock. My kids are always opening drawers, playing with everything, bless them, and I needed a place where I could easily get to my electronics while having the ability to quickly lock it away. This Fits the bill perfectly. The muted wood color blends nicely with the general décor, it fits neatly under my desk. It’s easy to assemble, you only have to attach the wheels. One feature I found thoughtful: the bottom drawer is for a file hanger. I wasn’t really interested in this to begin with but I realized how many loose leaves I had lying around and how little I enjoyed using binders for them. The hanging file folder drawer has an extra wheel at the bottom, in anticipation, I’m sure of its heaviness as it gets full. That’s very neat. You get two drawers to keep other stuff in. And of course, keys. And this, in case you care, is how I got to speak to the customer service representative. I left the keys lying around and, okay, I’m not going to blame the kids so…I mislaid them. Both of them. In a bundle. Together. If I was back on day 1, I’d separate them out and leave one in an easy to remember, hidden place, like my inner smart person was urging me to. But of course that didn’t happen. So I had a great conversation with them on Messenger and they sent me a lock, all the way from China, which I installed after brutalizing the drawer. And now I’m really enjoying it! So please separate the keys….and say hi to the friendly people on Messenger. If someone asked for a thoughtful optional add-on to this, it would be a liner for the drawer bottom, or inserts.
