Works well or not at all, depending...
The cause of the bloat seems to determine whether or not these pills will work. For me, they work best when I am eating moderate quantities of a low sugar diet that is rich in water, minerals and clean fats such as organic olives or olive oil. If I'm experiencing menstrual bloat, taking the pills on only those days doesn't work as well as starting to take them several days prior and continuing until the worst of the cycle is over. If the bloat is from food such as salad, the pills work, provided my diet is not too high in sugar and I don't overeat. If I overeat even healthy foods, the pills don't seem to do anything at all. This suggests to me they're not for relieving water retention that is due to high blood sugar (even temporary) or the toxic chemicals the body makes due to overeating. Too much salt intake also sees limited benefit from taking these pills. They work less noticeably for fish than vegetable bloat. The best use for me is reducing temporary periodic tummy bloat that makes my clothes too tight. That only works given the dietary restrictions I already mentioned. I hope this helps explain the different experiences people have had. It really seems to depend on why your body is retaining water.

Total game changer
I have certain days a month where my hormones seem to conspire against me and when they do my body hurts and I get overly sensitive which in turn tends to make me pretty irritable for 3-4 days. And for a long time I couldn’t find anything that really helped the situation. Until I got the idea to take one of these with a couple of ibuprofen a couple of times a day. Total game changer. Even with the remaining pain and sensitivity, I am still much calmer and more rational. AS LONG AS I keep track of the days and start taking it before the symptoms start. It still helps after the symptoms start but for maximum relief, for me at least, I need to take it as soon as I expect symptoms to start. Thankfully it’s pretty much like clockwork most months so I can just take it first thing in the morning of the day I expect the pain to start and that seems to work best. Then I take it for the 3-4 ‘angry’ days and it really makes a difference.

Great product for multiple reasons! Caffeine free is better IMO
Disclaimer: I am NOT a doctor so please check with your doctor first before use! Okay so I love diurex; my roommate & I both use it for different reasons. I have edema (severe water retention) of both legs, my roommate has high blood pressure. Be very careful with this if you have low blood pressure, fyi! Anyway, it helps my legs stay normal and it lowers my roommate's blood pressure but also BE SURE to take a POTASSIUM CHLORIDE supplement and get some ELECTROLYTES too as water loss also means loss of potassium & sodium so we both take a potassium supplement as your body NEEDS it to function properly. That being said, it's very useful for both water retention & high blood pressure. AGAIN, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE USING THIS. This is just my experience & my roommate's with it; we both see it as helpful. Be sure to eat something & also drink lots of water with it which sounds stupid but when your body is retaining water, it's because it thinks your body needs more water which is why it holds on to water in the wrong ways which cause bloating, cramps, etc. So if you take this AND drink water, you'll feel and look better because your body will not retain water, knowing that it's being hydrated as the diurex releases that bloating. I'm not sure why it lowers blood pressure almost immediately but it does. Just be careful if you have normal blood pressure because low blood pressure can also be quite dangerous. Potassium and water with electrolytes along with this is my go to the ease my edema effectively but everyone is different! Also, I much prefer this over the kind with caffeine in it. I don't feel that the caffeine is necessary for me as I get that with my morning coffee, so that just depends on your preference.

Works wonderfully 🖤
My bestie referred these to me when I told her I needed something to help with all the water weight I’d gained after taking new & multiple medications. She’d taken them back in high school (I’m 36 now) for wrestling to lose water weight & they worked for her. (We have found over the years a lot of things work for both of us) I did not realize just how badly bloated I was. I lost 10lbs the first week. I also had more energy, felt lighter, my clothes fit better, and my stomach looks like it deflated lol One thing I’d note. I have stomach & digestive issues from an ed and I currently have been throwing up from the pain from severe spinal cord injuries. I have to eat before I take the first one of the day otherwise I start burping a lot & get way more nauseous than usual & I’ll throw up & my stomach will growl like crazy to the point it’s painful. If I eat first & let my food settle tho I’m fine. I prefer to eat like some kind of bread that’s light on my stomach but will soak up the stomach acid. So if you have any problems with acid reflux or anything I’d eat first and then take them lol also drink a lot of water.
