Took buying three to get two matching…
Great IPS monitor. Bought a second, but it was a lesser model with 240Hz only through DP and it came with a foreign power connector and was not the latest HDMI tech; that jacked up nonsense had me upset, but they fixed it, third monitor is its match, and both came with zero dead pixels, with great cables, and the Audio-X is dope! I had never heard of it, but it delivers on that promise. Blacks are great, colors are exceptional and that 240Hz is much easier on my eyes through coding sessions. I absolutely love these and will likely use them for a decade easy. Stellar product, just hate they sold me a lower-spec model the second time. Zero flicker, super easy setup, and that high refresh rate is a dream both on macOS and Windows 11 Pro.

A Stunning IPS Monitor That Rivals OLED – Without the Burn-In Risk
100% would recommend. I put my room in darkness and placed this monitor near my laptop's OLED screen, and it's almost identical in color clarity. It has 1 billion colors just like OLED screens and supports 10-bit (8-bit + FRC, so it's technically 10-bit). Even though it's an IPS panel, it handles dark colors incredibly well—better than any IPS monitor I’ve seen—almost like how it appears on OLED. What’s great is the brightness—it can get really intense in a fully lit room. And the text on screen is super clear, unlike most VA monitors that ruin text quality, especially if you code or play visual novel games. Viewing angles are great, I can't complain. I would recommend this over an OLED with the same specs 100%—great price, great quality, and no risk of burn-in.

Awesome screen
The screen is amazing. Assembly was easy, ease of connectivity with the sockets being good. The adjustment of the screen itself is well built and firm. Settings are very intuitive, easily switching between VGA and HDMI inputs.

Great Monitor
The screen is perfect. I never really had any issues. The only issue I did have was when connect connecting with HDMI. It would occasionally blackout and then turn back on, but I just switched to display port and it fixed the issue so really doesn’t matter. I would say the stand is a little bit big but if you have like a table mount or something that fixes that issue other than that, it kind of takes up like a bit of the desk if you want the monitor to be up close. It’s really my only nag about it, but the screen is big. It colors are good. Haven’t had any issues other than HDMI. I use it to play VALORANT, Apex legends, Hell divers, Minecraft, Terraria, Roblox, never had an issue. And I really do like that. There is a in monitor crosshair for some of the games that have crosshairs that move all the time.

Terrible ghosting/overshoot. FPS counter does not doesn’t show fps it shows refresh rate.
Only thing good to say is the colors are good, everything else about the picture quality is terrible. It’s either too bright or too dark. The viewing angles suck even when sitting dead center. Terrible ghosting in games and horrible overshoot just scrolling the web. It’s also not good in bright rooms. Everything about looking at the screen gave me a headache no matter how much I fiddled with the settings. As for the the monitor physically, it has no swivel and mine came off center so the legs are pointing a bit to the left just to have the screen face forward. As for tilt it leaned to one side, I couldn’t get it to stay level. I don’t think it’s good value for the money unless you can put up with constant headaches just for somewhat good color.

Great for PS5 players!
Love this monitor! GREAT colors and quality! I’m coming from a 60hz ps4 pro set-up, now playing on a ps5 slim. I run this monitor 1440p at 120hz and it pairs really well! FPS counter is a nice feature. My only gripe with this is sometimes my monitor doesn’t recognize my gaming system causing me to unplug/plug back in my HDMI. Other than that I think this provides great value and functionality. Plus it’ll still be relevant for me once i switch over to PC gaming. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

quality qhd!
i think i'm one of the lucky ones... no dead pixels upon arrival! this monitor looks amazing, and it's BIG. take my review with a grain of salt, though; i'm coming from a 2019 hp omen laptop. i think anything is an improvement over that lol. the colors are SO CLEAN and saturated, there is very little "glow" when displaying mostly black screens. it's heavy and it all feels super quality. i think my biggest gripe is there is a cable clip on the back, that i didn't REALIZE was a cable clip, and now i can't get it off, therefore no cables are clipped. bizarre. also, this is a nitpick because you can SEE photos in other reviews, but the product description claims this is glossy finish. it is most definitely matte, LOL. obviously. because it's not OLED. anyway, still really really nice!!! edit: after 2 months i did get a dead pixel. it's literally completely undetectable while watching movies or playing games, but when i use art programs i can see it... anyway. it's really tiny, i don't think it's that big of a deal unless more start randomly popping up. i'll update again if more appear.

TLDR: Received faulty monitor, power issue, returned to Amazon, Refunded, Repurchased same monitor that is fully working The first unit had an issue where after the boot up logo it would switch off after 5 seconds each time. I tried a different power cable, but it persisted. Since it was the day of delivery, I opted to return the unit suspecting the power board in the monitor was faulty. Putting this out there because it is a really rare circumstance for a brand-new monitor to arrive as. Amazon customer service was great, and they accepted the return. This was also after speaking with LG and them confirming such an issue would require coming in for repair (I'm glad I did not have to exercise that) and not just something you can troubleshoot. The second unit works perfectly. I highly recommend this screen for people who don't want to take the dive into OLED yet. VRR works amazing with PS5 thanks to the HDMI 2.1 ports. I am also enjoying the added screen real estate coming from 24". The response times are stellar as an FPS gamer and text looks pretty good when i need to work on documents. Overall recommend for someone in the less than 500 CAD price point as the monitor worth is debatable at MSRP, go for it when on offer.

The LG UltraGear 27″ QHD 240Hz is a top-tier gaming monitor built for speed and clarity. With a 1ms GtG response time, 240Hz refresh rate, and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, gameplay feels incredibly smooth and responsive. The QHD resolution and IPS panel offer sharp visuals with vibrant color (95% DCI-P3), and HDR400 adds a touch of depth. It also features HDMI 2.1 for next-gen gaming and a fully adjustable stand. While HDR400 is limited and there are no built-in speakers, this monitor is an excellent pick for gamers wanting high performance without compromising visual quality.
