Great casting net!
BIt’s the right size. Love that it has the carrying bucket. It is properly weighted. Doesn’t get tangled.

Good cast net for the price.
I ordered the 8' 1/4" mesh cast net to use in brackish water. Not a bad net for around 49$. The material seems to be okay for the price. I have had to repair it 8 times since owning it do to debris, fish and other catches, but that is to be expected as I use this daily for catching bait. Perfect beginner net for anyone starting to get into throwing a cast net. The wrist band does not hold up well at all, I ended up removing it and making a loop in the rope, problem solved. Some of the netting nots have started to come loose with a couple here and there, so that's a bit annoying, but again for the price it's still a good net. A thicker monofilament diameter would be better for rigidity. Other then that its been a good beginner net. Have caught some unexpected things in the net "Blacktip shark, alligator gar or the occasional crab" and it still holding up with very minor damage. 9/10. Recommended.

Excellent for the price! Would by again!
Excellent product for the price. Throws very well, sinks fast, and catches a ton of bait. Used it for pilchards the day I got it and blacked out my live well almost instantly! Value for money: Amazing

it ok
In actual operation, the unfolding and retracting process of the casting net was relatively smooth, without serious jamming or damage. It is easy to carry and cast. In addition, the gray sinker design of the net improves its stability in the water, which helps to catch more marine life. However, I also found some shortcomings during use. First, the fishing efficiency of the casting net seems to be somewhat limited, which may be related to its mesh size or material. In some cases, it may take multiple casts to catch enough bait. Secondly, although the casting net is durable, it still shows more signs of wear after not too long of use, which may require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

A lot of fun with practice
Works great, already took it on 3 trips. Grabbed a rock one time on the jetties and snapped one of the cables in it trying to recover it, but I was able to fix it on the spot and get back to catching bait fish (I feel it even worked better after I fixed it). I used it on 1 pier with no success and 2 jetties were I caught something every time I got a good cast. I caught bait fish, 1 large beautiful starfish, a few conch, and what looked like a couple brittle starfish (I only kept the bait fish and conch). 0 rust on the weights so far and I have not rinsed the net once yet. I use this for catching bait, but also seeing if I can find something cool to put into my aquarium (I like to have common local aquatic life in my aquarium and I have it setup to simulate my local marina). Takes practice and youtube videos to learn how to actually cast it correctly. I got the 3' version, since I live in Southern California and that is the legal max diameter that I can use. I really want a bigger version to bad.... If your in Northern California or another state that allows for bigger nets, I recommend getting something bigger then 3'. Crazy story, my friend and I saw a $100 bill floating in the water when we where on a jettie and actually caught it using this net, but unfortunately it was movie production fake money.... looked very real. Very cool that we could get it with this net however.

You can’t go wrong with this net
I really can’t say anything negative about this net. It’s an excellent net for the money. I got the 9ft 1/4 mesh to replace a 7ft that I had for years. Pinfish and greenbacks in the flats are snook and redfish magnets around here. In 3 fishing trips it literally paid for itself and then some. Of course it’s not a custom made $300 net or commercial grade but if you take care of it, it should last years. Rinse it after a day out and soak it is fabric softener every now and again and you can’t go wrong. It throws just like it should. The price of bait is high around here so I feel this net is a good value. I have purchased pinfish alone for $1-$2 each from the bait shop. That adds up quick to buy a couple dozen for a day on the water. Like I said it has already paid for itself. From this point it will probably save me hundreds of dollars within the year. I hope everyone has the same experience. Tight lines everyone!!!

The packaging is great. It came well organized all in the provided pail. When trying to use for the first time, the rope and weights would often get tangled in themselves. Perhaps it was a user error issue as it was my first attempt using a casting net.

Nice net but too big

The net sinks too slow even in shallow water the fish are gone before the net captures them
