Arguably one of the more reliable choices out there
Using this Lexar NM790 2TB SSD, M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 in an external fanned NVME M.2 enclosure and have my home folder set to it on a mac mini m4 running Mac OS Tahoe. Great value to performance ratio -and recommended to me a few multimedia professionals who cite it's trusted reliability. No compatibility issues experienced. I have transfered massive music sample libraries and notoriously huge orchestral VST's and suffered no slow-downs when putting my use case scenarios to the test. I expect longevity to be on par with, or even in excess of the best competitor brand offerrings on the market today. 2TB storage is significant for me, and I can buy another one and go raid if I choose. Ease of installation is as simple as it get's and performance has been great and fast too.

Not cheap, but it's a great pice of kit
When I ordered my gaming PC, i tried to save on the costs of the build by scrimping on the SSD drive. It very quickly got to maximum storage and I was storing games on external USB drives. Then wondering way games were taking ages to load. Ended up looking at reviews online looking at what would be the best storage for things like games. The HDD was the slowest, then SSD, and the fastest was the NVMe SSD. So for the budget I had, it was an SSD with more memory, or the NVMe which is faster but less memory. I went for the 4TB NVMe and it didn't disappoint. I had to check that my CPU had the NVMe slot and luckily it does have one. Gutted it doesn't have two to be honest, as installing this was very easy and took 2 minutes. It doesn't require cables to the CPU nor does it require any power. Managed to transfer all my games to it no problem, the CPU recognised the new SSD with just a few clicks. Games are running better and loading up much faster. Still got loads of memory left. Probably the best upgrade I've made for the PC yet.

Fast drive at very low price
Hi I needed more storage and plumped for this after reading favourable reviews. I'm now using it as my boot drive as it's faster than the Sasbrent Rocket which was there before. The speeds are great - just as advertised. The only minor concern was the high idle temperatures compared to my other drives. However using my motherboard heatsink it never throttled or showed strange behaviour (board is MSI Tomahawk wifi Z690 and heatsinks are pretty good). I've subsequently switched to an aftermarket heatsink. Thermalright and Xclio do very neat little SSD "sandwich" coolers for less than £10. This has dropped temps further so I've got a decent margin of safety. I was so impressed with the price and performance I bought the 4TB version for my other rig. As regards longevity the drives have a five year warranty up to 1500 TB writes for the 2TB version and 3000 TB writes for the 4TB version which seems generous. I hadn't heard of Lexar in relation to SSDs but they seem to have a good reputation for other flash memory products such as SD cards. Hope this helps Mag

Good upgrade
Brought to replace/upgrade a 1tb to a 4tb on my gaming laptop. Was easy to fit & working very well.

Lexar m.2 ssd nvme. Great product
It works fine and im getting 7300 read speed and 6300 write. Perfect for my new pc build. I also purchased the 1TB version for the OS, this also works fine with very slight better speed than the 4TB. Very satisfied and would certainly recommend.

Superb value
I bought this to upgrade my mini computer, which I use for audio recording and composing. There were not many 4TB drives at this price point and I wasn't sure how good it might be. I needn't have worried. It works flawlessly and the benchmarks, while not the best, are still excellent and this upgrade has made a noticeable difference to the speed of my software. I can certainly recommend this on value and performance.

Astonishingly fast, yet stays very cool.
I'm now using this SSD as the main (boot) drive for my iMac. So far, it's performing perfectly. And it runs a little cooler than a 2 TB drive from Samsung, which I previously used to do the job. (For older readers : This SSD holds 2 TB of data, yet is the same size as a stick of 1970's Wrigley's chewing gum. What a world we live in now!)

Does what it says on the tin
The memory card performs to the letter. Tested for read/write speed and it all talies with advertised data. NVMe compatibility is spot on and installation easy (it includes it's own fixing screw). Early days, so I cannot attest to reliabilty. It can get a bit warm under intensive work or duress, but it's all normal. Recommended.
