For those short on time: The mirror exceeds the expectation for an item at that price. It's definitely good for home use. It probably covers most of light commercial use applications too. I will buy more of these for our home. That being said, if you expect hail, heavy storm, big rigs, or fork lifts taking a swipe at this item on a regular basis, you may want to shop for a mirror with a metal housing. No need for you to read the remainder of this paragraph. But if used for what plastic molded mirror mounts can reasonably stand up to, I think this product is as good as it gets. Here are my reasons: 1. Good packaging: It came properly packaged in a solid cardboard box inside the (additional) Amazon Box. (no picture, tossed before I decided to write a review.) The mirror surface itself is protected by a foil. 2. Not skimpy on addons: It comes with a set of four nice wall anchors. 3. Good concept: The mirror is plastic, which makes it light. The mount is properly coated, heavy steel. Obviously, someone must have put some thought into this. 4. Good design and finish of the plastic parts: I am by no means an expert in transfer molding. But I have seen how it's done and listened to experts in Far East and here in North America. So, without taking the mirror apart I looked at how the screws are seated. And I must say, I have a very good impression of the design and manufacturing quality. Another detail is the swivel joint. It moves very smoothly, very little friction. Someone must know the plastic shrinkage very well to come up with a design like this. Well done. Some users may find it to easy to move by accident. I suggest using a dab of hot glue to hold it in place, if really needed. Hope to you find this review helpful.

This is a great product! It’s perfect if you’re stuck in a cubicle or have your back to the door when you’re on your computer. I purchased this after someone snuck up on me at work and just stood there silently watching me work. I was totally freaked out so I purchased this! It’s so easy to use and comes in handy! Now I know who is behind me without having to turn around.

I just got this and actually have not hung it up yet. So far it seems good quality for the price. There are many of these out there that are much more expensive. The metal mounting bracket is really sturdy and I don't foresee any problems with it. The mirror piece is made of plastic and much lighter, which works for me. I am going to be mounting this on a plaster wall. So heavy duty mounting bracket and light weight mirror should work in my favor. The mirror can be easily adjusted while it is hung up just by tilting it to the preferred angle. I am going to be using this in my very narrow garage to be able to see better when backing out the car. I am sure it could be used for many things. Customer service was excellent! I will update my post when I get this hung up. So far, it looks great!

I don't normally do product reviews, but there are a few reasons why I'm doing this one. 1. This mirror is badass. 2. I also liked the insert that came with it explaining the family business and customer service. The insert for the business will speak for itself, so I'll focus on the mirror. I wanted one that gives me a reasonable viewing angle, is somewhat inconspicuous, and no drama. I've tried mirrors of varying shapes and sizes, which have used clips and adhesives, and none of them were satisfying. I even got a few "blind spot" mirrors from Advanced Auto Parts and tried to stick them to the top of my monitor. This mirror is finally the one that I keep. It talks about how it'll clips onto the monitor itself, but I love it because I took it a step further and clipped it to the monitor arm on which my monitor is mounted - so I can't even see the clip. NOW, I have a mirror that "hovers" over my monitor - the appearance is clean, I have good visibility behind me (so my sister can't accidentally scare me when she comes in my room), and I don't have to deal with anything sticky! (Also, the clip is solid - I've returned monitor mirrors where the clip was easily too small or didn't have enough power.) Thank you, Jon & Carrie! I love this mirror. :-D

Very good value

The good: I purchased this to help view the blind spots on my porch for when packages like Amazon arrive. For that, it works great. Don't want to leave them on the porch longer than necessary. Positioning the unit is easy, but it takes a little finagling. Simple with 2 people, but I didn't have 2 people. I used a box as a guide and positioned it with that. The quality is good. The value for the money is good. I have no idea how scratch resistant it is, and have no plans on finding out. Someone would have to purposely attack it to scratch it. It does come with the mirror covered in a sticky plastic cover. Which I appreciate. The bad: the reason I gave this 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 stars is because of the time it took me to research the installation instructions. There are NO installation instructions. I asked where the instructions were and was told they are on the box. The box is a plain brown box with very little writing on it, and zero instructions. No problem, I'll go to You Tube and watch a DIY video. Wouldn't you know it, out of the millions of videos on You Tube, this video is not there. The hardware shipped with the unit made no sense. There are dowels and reverse set screws. I ended up just using 4- 3 inch screws. The heaviest part of this unit is the support arm. I believe the seller wants you to think this is a suitable mirror for industrial use. And in some cases, it may be. But it is only a foot across, and doesn't project that much of a image. Again, think of a porch. I would never use it for backing into my garage. The bottom line is, as lightweight as this unit is, and if you're attaching it to a 4x4 post, screws are plenty of support. Screws work just fine. I hope this helps at least 1 person.

A very solid product. The mirror has clear detail.

I was very worried when I opened the paclage & saw that the mirror was bigger han the box it came in. Everything was safe & undamaged. It was extremely easy to put up -although I did use regular screws I had at home & attached it to a fence. Only thing I'm worried about is the top "lip". It's on the side, because if it was rotated to the top I couldn't use it/couldnt see it. I'll update my review once the snow comes -depending on how it holds up. A beautiful thank you card was included. I'd recommend this mirror!

With the addition of a truck to our driveway space became an issue so making sure everyone pulled right up to the house was important. The mirror helps perfectly with that. By removing a couple screws the mounting arm can be rotated to help get the best angle and is big enough that it is easy to see.

Bought it for boat, works great, arrived very quickly
