Great choice for Carson Valley NV winter weather.
I live in Northern Nevada south of Reno and this hat is perfect for me. Just the right amount of insulation for our winter weather. You would want one of the more insulated models if you were in N. Dakota or Minnesota. It can be tightened to better keep out the wind, and not blow away. Appears well made, which was a nice surprise given its low cost. The reflective strips are a nice added touch. Can be comfortably worn with ear flaps tucked inside the hat. Brim helps with glare. Nicely done!

Nice warm hat for the winter.
This is a hat that you usually don’t find in a store. It is nice for cooler weather because it keeps the head warm with the lined hat and ear flaps which can be put up up as well. The hat is water repellent and adjustable with a reflective material in the back of the hat which is a nice feature. The recipient was very happy with this item.

Warm
This cap has two adjustments making it an excellent fit. Wore it in the rain and cold and it sheds water while keeping your head and ears warm. Does not fit like a baseball cap and feels like it sits high on the head but overall a good bad weather cap.

Nice one-piece, grab-n-go, head, ear & neck cover with brim
It has a nice stiff brim, and the white piping on the brim is light-reflective. The ear/neck flap folds down & back up easily, quickly converting from ball cap to hat with ear & neck warming. The fabric is a lightweight, smooth, finely woven, snag-resistant nylon exterior. It and the brim covering readily accept silicone waterproofing spray for ultimate rain & snow resistance. The inside has a very thin layer of soft, felt-like fleece that's comfortable on the head and ears. The total thickness of the fabric sandwich is approximately 1/8" or less. The fabric is a little noisy in your ears when you turn your head back-and-forth when the flap is down. It's not quite like the snug fit you get on your ears from an elastic knit beanie; there's a tiny air gap where strong winds can still get to your ears a bit. There is a tension adjustment on the rear of the flap to help it fit as close as possible. Even so, it feels warm and stops radiation heat loss on your ears even if there is a little air gap. The hat goes on and comes off your head easily, with the flap either down or up. Its ideal for wearing with a jacket that has a hood, because the brim/visor keeps the hood from falling down in front of your eyes. In this case you get two layers of insulation (hat/flap + hood) and a sun/rain visor. The fabric of the hat will fold easily and collapse against the front curve, making it relatively easy to stow in a large-ish zip pocket. The brim is stiff and can't be folded without creasing/damaging it so it doesn't stuff into a pocket quite as easily as a knit cap. 20250105 UPDATE This is still my go-to winter hat and I have discovered that it is perfect to pair with a lightweight hoodie base layer, such as those long sleeve running shirts that have hoods. Put the hood up over your head first, which is a very soft and flexible fabric, and then put the hat on your head with the flaps down. This makes it quieter on your ears, prevents air from blowing under the flap, and keeps the hat very secure. Then finally, you flip up the hood on your jacket over the hat and let me tell you it's very warm and comfortable. If you get warm, it's easy to fold the flaps of the hat back up inside of it and it still fits on your head okay. I have added a fifth star now that I have experience with this hat for a couple of seasons and learn how to match it with the running shirts with hoods.

Good lightweight hat.
This peaked hat does a good job of keeping head and ears warm in cold weather. Also it is pretty water resistant. I tested it a lot on a recent trip where we had lots of snow, rains and wind. The wind part is a problem. Even though the hat is sized correctly for my head size, and it has two tightening mechanisms, it would not stay on in the wind. I ended up wearing it backwards in those situations.

warm, doesn't blow off
bought 1 blue & black one, wearing them exclusive his winter. They shield the eyes from sun, keep the ears warm, don't blow off in the wind, adjustable, water repellent, flip up & down easy in the car or store, but you still can hear well.

Great hat
This hat is good. It fits well to head with Velcro strap that doesn’t look goofy. The ear covers can stay close to ears with an adjustable bungee cord. The bill is a good length. I’m very happy with this purchase.

This winter cap is great! pros: looks good, keeps my ears and head warm and has a long enough cap to keep the bright winter sun out of my eyes Cons: the ear flaps stay up mostly but they need a magnetic clasp to keep them up when not in use, the flaps drop down often and looks a little goofy at times.
