Cyprus Flake Salt 2 lb. Bag - San Francisco Salt Company

I ordered a different brand which failed me the last time I repeated. This San Francisco brand is what I pecked: large flakes, no crushed salt and definitely Cyprus flake salt. It is large quantity, but worth every penny😊

Cyprus flake salt give a fabulous flavor to anything you are cooking that has liquid for it to dissolve in. I use 1 tsp per cup of liquid.

Salt is salt, or so I thought until I tried San Francisco Salt Company. The flakes are larger than anticipated, which made me concerned that this would be entirely too much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Either use the larger flakes as is, in which case a little goes a long way, or use a grinder to make them a tad more manageable in size. Regardless, the flakes have a pleasant crunch and melt in your mouth. This is by far the best salt I've used to date, which is going to make it difficult to go back to the "normal" grocery store salt.

Love this brand and products. Unfortunately this bag had a small rip and I can’t replace it.

Wish they sold 5 lb bags for a good price

This salt is the perfect size of salt crystals to put directly on food that you intend to eat. You don't have to put it in a grinder, and it's not so finely ground that you wonder if you sprinkled enough on before eating. I love to see the salt sitting on my food! The crystals are not crunchy, but easily eaten once it's sprinkled on food, and it also enhances the flavor of the food that you sprinkle it on. The only ingredient in this product is salt, and you can tell it's a premium salt. I have eaten other specialty salt blends by this brand and they are delicious-tasting, too! I highly recommend the San Francisco Salt Company Cypress Company Salt brand and this particular salt, too.

Even though I try to avoid sodium, I still have lots of different kinds of salt on hand for flavoring, especially sea salt. I also have kosher salt for recipes that call for it.This sea salt is kind of like kosher salt on steroids. The flakes are large and almost like rock salt crystals but not as large or hard. It has a nice flavor, but as another reviewer pointed out, it would be ideal for pretzels and other things requiring large flakes or crystals of salt.It's a very interesting product, IMO, and I expect to use it often in the coming months (though 2 lb will last me years!).

These sea salt flakes, from the San Francisco Salt company and the country of Cyprus, are the type of salt I like to use to top breads -- dinner rolls or focaccia, especially. The flakes work asa good finish for any dish where you want some crunch along with the visibility of salt. Their size makes sure that they don't dissolve quickly. I just wish they weren't so thick and large, because they lack the finesse of other flaked salt. Despite that, the flavor is good, and their square-ish shape is dramatic.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann
