Great Value! Solid METAL
This is a SOLID paper cutter! The base is METAL! It's fantastic VALUE. I like the two movable guards, they are simple and effective and aligning your cuts. The base also has a great clear measurement layout printed on it. It cuts very cleanly.

Best paper cutter!
I have wrestled with a lot of different kinds of paper cutters, cheap ones and expensive ones. This one is by far the best, worth the money and has multiple uses. The background has different paper sizes cut out so that makes it super easy to work with. Paper will always cut straight if you cut it fast enough (less I learned with other cutters). I have yet to try the magnet piece but plan on it.

Great product for price point.
I bought this to cut down multiple sheets of tissue paper. It was perfect for the project I needed and cut 9-10 sheets effectively. After several stacks it did begin to dull and have trouble with cutting the bottom half of the paper so I had to reduce the stack. The magnetic guide is super helpful to keep my paper lined up in place for perfect cuts and prevent slip. I used it more than the plastic guard. This worked great for my project considering the price point I have no regrets.

Light weight and durable
It was easy to put together and it cuts great. It is light weight, so easy to transport. Several different measurements on the board.

Adequate for most jobs with exceptions
I bou7ght this to trim card stock into labels. i used one sheet at a time. here's what I found: 1. Assembly was one step. 2. Instructions were difficult to see but not understanbd. All pictuyres. 3. The blade is integral to the handle. It uses a scissor-like action, but the blade is not sharp like on more expensive units. 4. Higher contrast markings on the surface would be nice. Lines are not always easy to see, especially if you have vision issues like me. 5. On long cuts, the end of the letter-size sheet would not cut well. It was like the blades did not approximate each other well. Also, the edge tended tu lift and give a slight curve on the ends of longer cuts. 6. The top edge guide is formed by a a bend upward of the top surface metal. It has a rounded corner that doesn't allow a definite squared stop, allowing the paper to ride up on one side giving a cut that isn't square at the paper corner. 6. On thin paper, it didn't always cut smoothly. So, it did the job for me for this task. I don't recommend it for any job where precision is important or where thin paper is used. It's reasonably sturdy and you should be able to sharpen the blade (square its edge) if ever needed. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had seen it first.

Nice Paper Cutter For Cutting Sheets Of Sandpaper
I purchased this paper cutter for the sole purpose of cutting sheets of 9" x 11" sandpaper down to 1/4 sheet or 1/3 sheet to fit the various sanders that I own. It's much cheaper to get the size you need this way. This paper cutter does a nice job cutting the full sheets down to size. Note though, once you attach the bayonet style handle to the cutting arm it's impossible to take it off so that the cutter can be stored back in its original box. See the attached photo for my solution. Not elegant but it will do. Another note, don't try to use a rotary paper cutter to cut sheets of sandpaper, it will chew that $15 blade up within 1 or 2 cuts.
