Dwarf Red Banana - Edible Red Banana - Sumatrana “X” Cross Banana

I ordered three different banana varieties from Natures Garden Nursery (two of each type: Goldfinger/FHIA-01, Sweetheart/FHIA-03 and Sumatra "X" Cross). All six plants were well-packed and arrived undamaged and adequately hydrated. After watering them, they perked up and seem perfectly healthy. However, each plant arrived with no individual labels in the pots. At first, I was quite upset, but contacted the seller by email and they informed me that they label each plant with a bright marker on the sides of the pots with two letter initials. I have a dozen banana plants of many named varieties and am now very happy with my purchase!

The dwarf red banana plant came we’ll package. It’s very healthy looking. I let the plant stay in its original pot for about 3 to 4 days and allowed the soil to dry too allow the plant enough time to recover from traveling through the mail. On the fourth day I planted it in a bigger pot with well draining soil. I’m going to keep it in my bathroom until the weather gets warmer and set it outside in a shade area until it gets use to being outside and be exposed to sunlight. Once it reaches a good size I’ll plant it in my backyard in the ground. 🥰😍❤️

Came right away but sadly didn’t even last a week . It died right away and I had in a green house controlled environment.

I've had the little bugger for awhile, growing great and really quickly as expected. A little browning on the leafs when arrived but that can be expected with shock of transport. 10/10, would buy again if given the chance

Looked well enough in the box and followed all directions that came with it, but it still died.

I received my plant in good condition. The tips of the leaves were brown; more than likely due to extended travel. The plant bounced back with some TLC and is doing great.

At less than 12 inches tall, approximately 6 inches of stem and 6 inches of leaves and as thick as a sharpie, this baby is smaller than the pups coming off my 60 inch pseudostem. It's too cute!!! Exactly as described. The big one is a blue java I call Jenny. I'm thinking about Sammy for this Sumatrana X. I'm in zone 7b with a greenhouse and I'll update if I can get it to fruit in a pot.
