Good retrofit
Sad that you have to buy a ln aftermarket fix for such an expensive knife sharpener. But this does fix the issue and will make your sharpener usable

Stiffens setup but makes flipping blade difficult.
This little devise stiffens the setup to remove any droop from the blade weight. Does however cause extra work each time the blade is flipped. Overall does exactly what it was designed to do. Is a little pricy for a piece of plastic though, otherwise would be 5 stars.

Good add on to the sharpener
The only down side to this is that you are no longer able to utilize the "easy flip" feature of the worksharp sharpening system, but it's not like it is a big deal to take the knife out and turn it over to reclamp. It might add a few moments to the overall process, but it is well worth it to not feel like one might accidentally break the sharpening system otherwise. Good purchase

no issues with product works great

Works but a hassle
It does add stability but the time spent putting it on and off every time you flip the knife just doesn't seem worth it.

Thos should have came in the kit.
You'd think they would include this in the kit. Great buy. Exactly what you need for your worksharp.

It works, but it’s not ideal.
The media could not be loaded. The Work Sharp Elite is a great little sharpener for small knives. (I did upgrade to the bigger Pro but I’m also keeping the Elite) The issue when sharpening bigger knives is that as you drag the plate over the blade, the force mixed with weight of the blade causes the clamp to move with each stroke, changing the angle. This little item significantly reduces the movement. It works! But having to remove it then replace it each time you flip the blade can get old (as other reviewers have mentioned). Igot kinda used to it and it made me slow down a bit so it’s not all bad. Also, upgrading to the Pro has its own issues. Set up is more complicated, there is no case (I bought a Pelican knock off for mine), and there are more parts to keep track of. It seems like there are always trade-offs with everything. At the price, I’d say get them because you will need them at some point and you’ll be glad that you have them, even if it does slow you down a bit.
