Probably the best keychain multi-tool I’ve owned. I carried a Swiss Army Cadet (Alox) for over 10 years and have tried several other brands since, including Gerber, but none matched the build quality I wanted. This NexTool feels rock solid, with no wobble in the joints and a nice, secure lock-up on each tool. What really sets it apart is the inclusion of full-size pliers and scissors — far more practical than the half-size tools you often get on smaller multi-tools. The pliers have a good grip and are actually useful for real tasks, not just emergencies, and the scissors cut cleanly without feeling flimsy. All the tools are easy to open and comfortable to use despite the compact size. I wanted something that gave me the functionality of pliers and scissors without carrying a bulky multi-tool or another Swiss Army Knife, and this hits that sweet spot perfectly. Highly recommended if you want a small tool you’ll actually use every day.

It is said of phones that they are the best camera because they are the only ones you have with you at all times - so more useful than that DSLR sitting at home when there is a need to take a photo when you are out and about on your day to day tasks. Well, this is a proper multitool that is small enough to put on your keyring which means it will be far more useful than a bigger one that you will tend to leave at home because of its bulk or having a locking blade which makes it illegal to carry in the UK. It has the usual knife, file, can/bottle opener, Flat Blade and Philips screwdrivers but the main assets for the size are the scissors and pliers. The scissors work extremely well and are as big as you would find in a larger multitool. The pliers are understandably smaller (and thinner) than you would find in bigger equivalents but still very useful for many tasks. As a real personal example from just yesterday, my door lock got jammed and I could not turn the key. I tried using the whole keyring for leverage but that just twisted the main ring out of shape. Thankfully, I had this recently delivered tool in my pocket and with the pliers I was able to exert enough force to turn the lock which opened with a heavy snapping sound - it really was jammed and I would have been stuck without some tool at hand. I made sure to immediately fit the multitool onto my bent keyring! And that is the point of this: it is not as heavy duty as much larger tools (though the scissors are comparable and overall build quality is excellent) but because it will always be with you, it could be able to get you out of the little unexpected emergencies you may encounter in your day to day life.

This multitool is impressively easy to open and use, yet compact enough to slip into your pocket without adding bulk. It includes all the essential tools you'd expect, and the build quality feels solid and reliable. I chose the black finish and was initially concerned it might wear off, but it's held up beautifully and still looks sleek and professional. One standout feature is the full-size scissors — incredibly useful and surprisingly rare in multitools of this size. Highly recommended!

I bought the Mini Flagship for under £25 (which I think is reasonable value for money), specifically to carry in a small EDC wallet, along with a few other necessary items to carry with me daily. As you can see from the photo, the item is small in my Large-ish hands, but not ludicrously so, and it seems to be eminently useable for it's intended purpose on initial inspection. The construction of the item is good and solid, and it opens easily, with everything clicking pleasingly and safely into place, as it should. The small keychain ring gets in the way of the scissors, but luckily I can remove the ring and push the attachment out of the way. I would've liked to attach a lanyard to it, but that won't be possible. The large springloaded scissors are great for cutting paper, card, and such, but couldn't cleanly slice through 4mm Paracord, but did manage to cut throught it.* The Pliers are small, but should work just fine for countless light gripping tasks. The file is not very good, unfortunately. I don't think it will effectively file anything, perhaps not even your nails, but there is a small flat head screwdriver at the end of it, which may be useful in a pinch. The Philips Screwdriver works well for tightening errant screws. The Combi-tool (Btl & tin opener) looks to be good quality and should function as intended. The blade is sub-3" and looks relatively strong and well made, but it did not arrive sharp, and I found that to be disappointing. However, it'll be easy to sharpen and should keep a decent edge, albeit with regular honing. So, all in all, it's a good, discreet little tool, for the price. Accept it's functional limitations, and you'll both get on just fine and dandy ;) *After sharpening, the scissors are cutting perfectly, and the knife blade is extremely sharp now.

I took a risk and bought this (I’ve always had Victorinox Swiss Army Knives (SAK) in the past). It hasn’t disappointed! The size is shorter and thinner than my main SAK but has some great features: knife, bottle opener, can opener, nail file/flat head screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, good size scissors and my main reason for falling for it, needle nose pliers. It comes in different colour ways, I chose green. It also has a key ring making attachment to a carabiner or keychain a synch. Bought for my EDC I now carry it in my pocket and use it most days. It’s a really useful bit of kit. It seems well made and sturdy, time will tell. If you want a huge range of tools in one place then a large SAK may suit you better but I’m enjoying my new purchase.

It’s of really good quality. I cannot recommend it enough, you wilt regret buying one of these. It’s such a handy size and fits comfortably in my pocket. It’s best to fit this with a lanyard to make it easier to reach from the pocket. I used a simple snake knot with 4mm paracord (look this up on YouTube).

Great tool, compact and perfect as an EDC

Kabelbinder. Bei mir sind es Kabelbinder bei der Arbeit, die ich öfter auftrennen muss. Das geht natürlich am besten mit einem Seitenschneider, aber den hat man nicht immer dabei. Immer dabei kann man aber ein kleines Minitool haben, das bei mir mit einer Olight i3E Taschenlampe in der 5. Tasche der Jeans steckt. Bei mir war das bisher ein Leatherman Squirt PS4, das über jeden Zweifel erhaben ist, aber aufgrund der Materialqualität öfter kaputt geht und daher nicht mehr hergestellt wird. Wie viele andere EDCler griff ich so zum Nextool Mini Sailor, das ganz wunderbar (fast schon in Victorinox-Qualität) verarbeitet ist und dem eigentlich nur eine kleine Feile fehlt. Aber von Nextool gibt es noch mehr Tools, zB dieses Mini Flagship mit einer viel größeren Schere und einer Feile. Mit der großen Schere schneidet man die Kabelbinder viel besser entzwei. Beide Schraubendreher haben einen längeren Schaft und sind dadurch noch brauchbarer. Mein Flaship Mini wiegt 5gr weniger als das Mini Sailor, die Verarbeitung ist jetzt nicht so optimal wie beim Mini Sailor, aber es bietet für mich mehr brauchbare Funktionen und durch die ungewöhnliche Bauform kann ich es auch leichter aus der Hosentasche ziehen. Der große Vorteil auch gegenüber einem Roxon KS2E Elite ist auch die vorhandene Zange, die genau wie die vom Mini Sailor ausgeformt ist und die gleiche gefederte Bedienung ermöglicht. Ich habe sehr viele kleine Taschenmesser und jetzt in 2025 ist dieses Nextool Mini Flagship das für mich brauchbarste Kleinsttaschenmesser, das man immer dabei haben kann. Dabei hatte mich seine Bauform mit der Zange und Schere erst abgeschreckt. Die sehr gute Schere und ihre Wirksamkeit bei den Arbeiten hatte ich dann beim Roxon KS2E Elite kennengelernt (also dass eine Schere ruhig größer sein kann), und dieses Nextool Mini Flagship ist dann nochmal kleiner und bequemer mitzuführen. Außerdem: Für einen Preis von unter 30 EUR macht man hier nix falsch und es ist auch das ideale Geschenk. Für mich gibt es die vollen 5 Sterne, weil es endlich eine brauchbare Schere und eine Feile bietet (zum Reinigen von Kontakten) und das LM Squirt PS4 damit endlich in den Ruhestand schicken kann. Außerdem beim Auspacken direkt dieses "jaa, das isset"-Gefühl gehabt.

En general es muy buena, muy pequeña multiherramienta, ideal para ponerla en un bolsillo pequeño y usarla si necesitas cortar algo, abrir algo o sujetar algo con unos alicates. No es una herramienta para cualquier cosa pesada, y veo que algunas personas lo utilizan para desenroscar tornillos oxidados de 10 mm o cortar cables de metal de 5 mm ... En serio. No me extraña que se rompan los alicates o se doble el destornillador cuando haces eso... Aparte de cortar paquetes con cuchillo/tijeras, lo mas pesado que puede hacer es apretar tornillos en la bici, o abrir alguna caja de plastico/juguete. Ahora sobre las cosas que no me gustan, al menos por ahora. Para abrir herramientas, realmente necesitas usar mucha fuerza. Es posible que sea porque son nuevas y con el tiempo se suavizan, pero ahora mismo hay que apretar mucho con las uñas y para abrir los alicates se necesitan las dos manos y algo de fuerza, no es gran cosa pero es un poco molesto. La siguiente cosa es que el cuchillo no estaba realmente afilado, no me importa cuando no se corta el papel como una navaja, pero ... cuchillo era simplemente aburrido. Lo mismo con cortador de alambre en los alicates. ni siquiera podía cortar 0,8 mm de alambre de cobre. Por último, el destornillador Phillips es un poco inútil, es demasiado plano y la parte final no está afilada, por lo que no se puede utilizar en tornillos más pequeños, como los de las gafas.

Über Jahre war ich mit dem Squirt PS4 von Leatherman leidlich zufrieden, half es mir doch immer wieder in den unterschiedlichsten Situationen aus. Nachdem ich nun seit einigen Wochen mit dem Nextool Mini in der Hosentasche herumlaufe, frage ich mich immer öfter, woher die selbstverständliche Begeisterung für das Leatherman kam. Das Nextool ist -bei nicht ganz unerheblich mehr Gewicht und Größe- um Welten besser als das Leatherman. Alles an dem Tool wirkt stabiler. Die einzelnen Werkzeuge rasten stabil ein, kein verruckeln des Messers beim Schneiden oder Schrauben. Die Schere schneidet tatsächlich. Ob Papier, dünnen Stoff, Plastik, alles wird sauber (der Größe der Schneiden natürlich entsprechend) durchtrennt. Den Dosenöffner hatte ich noch nicht in Anwendung, er wirkt aber ausreichend stabil. Das Messer ist sauscharf und im täglichen Einsatz. Die Zange mit dem Federmechanismus wusste auch schon mehrmals zu begeistern. So kann damit problemlos ein Topf mit ca. 3kg Füllung am Rand gegriffen und von einer Feuerstelle wegtransportiert werden. Mir war es wichtig, ein Multitool für den Schlüsselbund zu haben. Verglichen zum Squirt hat man dann doch ein ordentliches Stück mehr Metall in der Hosentasche, das sich aber definitiv lohnt. Als einzig negatives Element empfand ich den kleinen "Dorn" am Schlüsselring (hat bestimmt eine Funktion, die sich mir aber nicht offenbarte), da dieser begann meine Hosentasche aufzureissen. Nachdem ich diesen weggedremelt hatte, ist das Tool jetzt ohne Ecken und Spitzen und führt im Taschenstoff zu keinen Zerstörungen. Tolles, vielseitiges Tool, definitiv eine Kaufempfehlung in dieser Größe.
