Let's touch on the key item; price. This stand/rack is completely function and a bargain. With that said, its not as sturdy as others. I have a total of 46 pounds on the stand. I don't recall what it is rated for but I wouldn't feel comfortable any more than 60 pounds. The stand is constructed of thin aluminum tubing which is locked in place with a spring loaded pop button. Setup was easy. Place the stand about 7 to 9 inches from the wall. The piping will tend to bow under tension. At this time, I do not feel comfortable installing this stand with two two average day bicycles hanging while near a car. I need sometime with this product to gain my confidence. If you take a close look you will notice the newer carbon bikes with oval top tubes don't fit perfectly in the hooks. Overall this items is functional and a great value. This rack will serve me well for my older bikes. I will seek out another stand for my higher performance bikes.

I used this to alleviate the space problem that having 2 bikes in a small flat causes. When you have less than 700sqft every bit counts. Currently I am only using the extension pressure to keep this upright but it does the job. If I owned my home, I think I would prefer having a drilled in or more permanent rack. However, if you are a renter pleb like myself it doesn't get much better than this. One thing that makes this rack really good is its ability to accept varying shaped bike frames. If you have ever dealt with various car bike racks or bike storage systems you'll know that some bike frames are not the easiest to deal with. Since this one allows customizable angle setting for the hooks it makes life a lot easier. Do note that if you have 2 full size / larger frame adult bikes the top bike will likely be a little difficult to get off the stand. Luckily my wife's bike is relatively small and I'm relatively tall so we have no issues. Anyways, I've had this rack for about a year now and it has been holding up wonderfully even with regular use ie placing and removing both bikes.

Not sure if it’s because I’m almost at the maximum ceiling height but the pole bends as it’s tightening, and prior to the bend isn’t tight enough. This was prior to putting bikes on. Pole is extended to almost 9ft It does support two bikes as is it just seems kind of fragile with that bend. (See photos) Too much hassle to pack back up, but if it collapses or breaks I’ll send those pieces back. Can’t think why something with generally great reviews would appear so weak. Non related, but one pole was sticking out of the box, wrapped in plastic on delivery.

Pretty flimsy and not worth the money, honestly. Also, the bike holders slide down the bar no matter how tightly you tighten the mechanism. I ended up placing some electrical tape as a "stop" to keep the bikes from sliding down the bar. Another issue is how closely the bike top tube is to the tightening mechanism. I have to be VERY CAREFUL taking the bike on and off the rack to keep from knocking the tube against the support tightening knob. Only positive was it's cheap.
