Better than expected
I used this knife at work on a few hours with prep. It is flawless and not expensive. I own a variety of other name brand knives but Damascus steel ones are my favorite. The style of this is perfect, the handle is very comfortable and cuts everything with ease. It came very sharp which is good, packaging was nice the box stays shut so you can travel with this knife easily. Overall I highly recommend whether you’re a chef or a home cook or just a person who likes nice knives. I will definitely buy more from this brand.

Good knife, but the handle came loose after about 15 months
I’ve had this for a little over a year and a half and I still like it, but after about 15 months the blade started to wiggle in the handle. It’s definitely repairable, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

If you're not afraid of your knife, it ain't sharp enough
Super sharp, good weight on the grip. A little expensive but good investment.

Looks nice and sharp too, but let's be real...
This is NOT a real Damascus knife. It is incredibly sharp and is great for slicing/chopping but that's where the quality ends for the most part. I'm not a chef by any means but I feel like this does a great job at cutting/chopping but maybe that means I've never owned a really sharp knife before. It is nice and heavy but not too heavy and it feels "balanced" I guess....again, not a chef. I am disappointed in the handle construction. The tang seems to be just inserted into the blue...plastic? I would think if you are paying this much for a knife the blade and tang should go all the way through. I also noticed there are no bolts keeping the handle together so the blade is either glued into the handle or heat molded maybe? Either way, that seems a tad cheap for a blade of this cost and probably means it wont last. I shined my iPhone light through the blue plastic part to see if I could tell how the blade is connected. I don't know, that tang looks a tad thin. This is also reflected in the blade's alignment with the handle. You can even see a gap between the blade and tang where it connects. I'm still going to use this as my daily chopper and slicer but I am not anticipating it lasting as long as a more quality knife. That being said, the price of this blade is a little out of touch of it's own quality and with reality.

All that Bling is Covering for Performance
Pros: - Lightweight - Sharpness/edge 8 out 10 before first use; I'm torn on sharpness - the edge did not roll but did not hold sharpness after a week of use on cutting meat and veggies - I really like this knife for chopping veggies, light and fast in a good way Cons: - Cost is not justified at $70 for quality and construction - Thin blade, does appear to be Damascus over core steel laminate; the blade is too thin but it is flexible without yielding - Blade sharpness 7 out of 10 after a week of relatively light use - Great at chopping veggies but it is not a great scooper spatula and I found the dimples actually caused more finely chopped veggies to stick to the blade I'll continue using this knife and will update the review accordingly; however, my impression is I would save my money for a better-quality knife without the bling.

Sharp!
I cook a lot and appreciate good equipment. Good knives are very important, and this one is a dandy! The whole thing is a beautiful work of art, from the rosewood handle to the subtly etched woodgrain pattern on the lower portion of the blade. The upper portion is pebbled, which aids in preventing food from clinging to the blade as you slice. The packaging is first class, a handsome black box with a magnetic closure and a padded, velvety lining. This is an outstanding knife to use. With my first slice into an onion, I knew this was a high quality product. I have excellent, pricy German knives by a famous maker and this is much better looking, and heavier to boot. It is immediately apparent that a good deal of thought went into every aspect of this knife, from the ergonomics of the handle to the composition of the steel, so it's not just a pretty face, but rather a hardworking tool. Julia Child, in one of her groundbreaking early videos, stated that you were much more likely to cut yourself with a dull knife than a sharp one, which is absolutely true. Furthermore, she explained that a good, heavy knife did a lot of the work for you, with the assistance or gravity. That is what I noticed immediately when I started in on the onions. Between the outstanding keenness of the blade and the weight of it (a whopping 241.9g!!), cutting effort was greatly reduced. Good knives are not inexpensive, but they will last you a lifetime, which is the type of warranty that comes with this one. A well-known, premium brand knife of this type is considerably more expensive, so I consider this an excellent value and a joy to use.
