Landlines: The No 1 Sunday Times bestseller about a thousand-mile journey across Britain from the author of The Salt Path : Winn, Raynor: desertcart.ae: Books Review: I have had this book for a week or two. I did not want to start it yet as I wanted to savor it. I had just finished her second book, The Wild Silence. It was fantastic!! Winn has progressed a lot as a writer since her first book, The Salt Path. Whereas the first book was more about the physical journey she takes with her husband, Moth, The Wild Silence was more about the life journey they are taking. I know how publishers these days make authors commit to three book contracts, so I feared that Landlines, being the third book, would not be as good as the other two books due to fulfilling a contract. I was wrong! I am only through chapter 5 - but I am on another glorious journey with Ray and Moth. Great book. Great writer. Review: Thank you for sending this book from the UK! I haven’t been able to stop reading the Raynor Winn books since my cousin sent me a copy of The Salt Path! I haven’t been able done lots of hiking in Canada and in Scotland. So many of the places mentioned in Landlines are familiar because of the year I lived in Scotland and the pleasure we enjoyed hiking the West Highland Way and the Rob Roy Way! The people of Scotland are amazing! The UK has a special place in my heart! Thanks for sharing Landlines with me! It’s a keeper!

As with the two previous books, I found this inspiring. A continuing story of taking charge in attempting to overcome the odds when there is a debilitating illness lurking unpleasantly in the background. Very readable, and yet again beautiful cover art to draw you in.

Had to read the other two books afterwards. Loved them all.

I’ve read 3 books by this author. Really incredible stories of her intrepid travels and very very inspiring life. She and her husband faced many obstacles. Their love and descriptions of nature are so beautiful. Much admiration for them both. Deep thanks to the author for writing these books.
