Old-Time Children's Fashions Coloring Book (Dover Fashion Coloring Book)

Ming-Ju Sun is an outstanding artist whose pictures in this coloring book are perfectly detailed and beautiful in every way! This is my 2nd coloring book of Old-Time Children's Fashion and I am having so much fun with it and find it extremely hard to put down. SO very calming and relaxing to color these beautiful children and the fashions of their day not to mention the FUN!!

This attractive book is tempting me to go buy a box of crayons. I ordered it because I wanted to get some idea of children's clothing of that period for the purpose of making doll costumes. The detailed illustrations will make that task much easier, and there are enough color pictures on the front and back covers to provide some ideas. The pictures are adapted from Sears catalogs of the time, so they should give an excellent idea of what the average little American girl or boy was wearing. Fun for girls of all ages!

Daughter loves coloring books from different time periods. Thought this would be a good book to start.

My step mom is in her 80s and used to hand craft porcelain dolls and sew the clothing. Absolutely beautiful. Now that she is older and cannot make the dolls, I think this will be a nice surprise since she has taken up coloring instead of ceramics. The pictures are nicely drawn.

Unlike some of the higher end coloring books the pages in this coloring book are not perforated for easy removal and the pages are printed on both sides of each page. This adds to the chance of bleed-through so I recommend using pencils or crayons when coloring in this book. Still the pictures are interesting, diverse and quite interesting and fun to color. Most definitely worth coloring. Nothing's insanely complex but also nothing's childishly simple. This is quite relaxing.

Nice thick lines. Cute pictures. Best if you use colored pencils or non alcohol markers. Double sided gives lots to color. Using alcohol markers so I'll only be able to color one side. Overall, great book for the price.

Once again the pictures are nice but if you use markers it bleeds thru to the picture on the reverse side

Wish you did not have to color both sides. Markers show through.

I liked the different dresses worn in the pictures

Bought for relative who can no longer get out. She was thrilled as not only does the colouring give her something to do. There is a bit of a history lesson in these books.
