This is a really great plumbing torch. If it’s right up to any regular bottle of fuel that you’ll purchase.It’s a turbo fitting and has a Very clean and hot flame. It lights easily with every click. It doesn’t take two or three clicks like some do. It’s worked well every time.This is a great torch

Non returnable item that never worked

I have quite a few torches and but only a couple that get this hot. It is great for Mapp gas. Most of them have lost the ability to start with the trigger or leak. They get so hot and it melts the plastic. Even the torches that are more light weight that I use to start a fire in my wood stove.I like the 360 degree angle. It is necessary for my use of this torch.It's a good knock off of the turbo torch. Mine is long gone now and this is it's replacement for now. It works well and I am happy to have the self igniter once again.

This is a great torch for sweating pipes in tight spots as it can be rotated for different angles. I think it also has a higher heat at the tip, maybe due to the design. My other torch had a fixed angle and would extinguish if it was tilted more than 45 degrees. This solves that problem by allowing you to rotate the tilt without going out. It also has a built-in ignitor which is super convenient and much safer. Very happy with this upgrade

HIATSU is USA Company.This seems like a decent upgrade over my old benzomatic [ on many of benzomatics black plastic handle will develop a crack and will not ignite or work and too dangerous to use].This one has much nicer valve, easy ignition and brass tip. Ignition procedure is trivial, turn it on and press the button to light it up. I dig the 360 degrees tip rotation. No complaints.Used to to weld aluminum and surprisingly it worked well.Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. This torch lights easily and burns smoothly. When used with MAPP gas it gets very hot and is just what you need when soldering larger pipes or other jobs where propane just won't cut it and you don't want to break out the Acetylene. The valve on this works very well to make smooth adjustments to the flame. I have included a video that I made in a darkened area to show the flame and the function of the adjustment valve. This has a rotating tip that allows you to get about any angle that you need and still maintain the tank upright. So far it has worked well for me and I am happy with it.To help understand how I rate items:My philosophy is, that for a rating system to be effective, the highest rating and the lowest rating should be reserved for a relatively small percentage of the best and the worst products. If I give a product four stars, it is because I believe it is a very good product. To get five stars from me requires a product to go above and beyond and really impress me beyond my expectations. By the same token, a product has to be VERY, VERY bad to get only one star from me. One thing that I DON'T take into consideration with my ratings is price. I may make a general statement such as “this is a good value” but it will not affect my star rating. The reason is that product prices change, even from day-to-day. Also what one person may consider a good price someone else might not. I feel it is more important to review the quality and features of a product and let the buyer decide whether the current price is worth it to them. Another thing that I don't take into consideration are issues with shipping. This is because the seller does not always have control over that. Following is each of the five categories of *stars* and how I assign them to a product:***** Five stars - The product exceeded my expectations. I really love it and would actively suggest it to friends and would certainly purchase it again if needed.**** Four stars - The product met my expectations. It does what it claims to do. I like it and would recommend it to someone if they asked about it. I would Most likely purchase it again if needed .*** Three stars - The product is average and for the most part does what it claims. There may be a few things I don't like about it. If I recommended it to someone, I would state my reservations. I may purchase it again if I could not find a better alternative.** Two stars - The product fell far short of my expectations. It may, in some respects, do what it claims to do but has far too many problems to overlook. I would never recommended it to someone nor would I ever purchase it again. There is a good possibility I would return it.* One star - The product is terrible. It has way too many cons and few if any pros. I would actively warn my friends away from it and would most likely return it if possible.

At first, I wasn't a fan of the way you have to press the torch activation button while turning the knob to release the gas, but then I became a quick fan of the safetiness of it all. I don't need a child burning down the apartment, so this keeps me assured only an adult can activate it. The construction is very solid and far better than the big brand name I was using before. Very nice. Product recommended.

I got this for my husband who uses it to make decorative glass pieces. It is basically a knockoff of a Turbotorch and my husband reports that it works almost as good as the original with a couple areas that fell short. The first issue is the overall quality of materials. This one just feels less robust, lighter weight meaning it will not be as durable as the actual turbotorch. The other issue is the ignitor is made of plastic which will almost certainly melt and be unusable pretty quickly. This seems to be a problem with every single one of these torch tips he has so maybe they all do that?? Im not too sure but worth noting.Other then the issues I mentioned above this torch is not a bad buy. It performs well we just dont think it will last for a long time.
