ABSOLUTE best psyllium POWDER for gf baking
I have used several brands of powdered psyllium for my gluten free bread. Some brands worked better than others....but this one is hands down the best for recipes calling for psyllium POWDER! It is very light colored (almost white) which means a lot of natural impurities (like the psyllium's inner seed parts and excess insoluble fibers etc. that are brown/tan in color) have been sieved out in the mfg process ...at a high mesh screen grade with 99% purity...leaving behind a high ratio of soluble fiber that is great for gf baking. To check it - I passed it through an #90 mesh screen - barely even gave the screen a shake and the powdered poured right through - other brands (even ones saying they were a fine powder)- about 60% of the psyllium was left in a #40 mesh screen. Since it is so fine milled - it absorbs liquid in a recipe much better and gives better structure to gf bread. It is the impurities and the bits of inner seed that can turn gf bread purple - this has almost none. So in using this brand for 4+ years.. it has not turned my gf sourdough bread purple. Also since this psyllium powder is almost white in color (most other psyllium powders are tan/light brown) it is not detectable in light colored gf breads. And is very neutral in taste too. So bottom line - this is a really fine powder that that works really well in gf artisan sourdough bread recipes that call for using psyllium POWDER. This is considered an ULTRA PREMIUM grade of psyllium husk powder and is harder to come by...as there are only 1 or 2 mfg in India (where 99% of psyllium husk comes from) that have the state of the art filtering equipment to process this high grade powder. I have bought several packages over the years and will definitely buy more!

BEST Psyllium Husk Powder for Keto
This is the finest grind, lightest color, smoothest psyllium husk prefer I have tried. I have also used Viva brand which was gritty and turned EVERYTHING purple from the very first use. I've used the NOW brand which was lighter than Viva and didn't turn must things purple but after 9 or 10 months started turning some items purple. It always had a little bit of grit but not to bad. The now brand is a better price than this but not NEARLY as finely ground. This brand is super smooth and very light with nothing turning purple. I think the now brand might not have turned things purple after several months if I had stored it in the freezer rather than pantry. I currently have a new bag of Terrasoul and NOW brand psyllium husk powder. Terrasoul is lighter and much smoother. Going to leave a small amount of each in the pantry for the next several months and store there rest in the freezer to see if there is a difference in color caused by pantry storage. Terrasoul is more expensive than the now brand. I would recommend either product but once I've used up what I have, I will definitely choose Terrasoul over the now brand. I wouldn't even consider the Viva Brand because it was very poor quality and everything I made with it was gritty and very purple! Terrasoul is a super product for Keto recipes.

No lumps when mixed with water.
I love the way Terrasoul mixes in water. There were absolutely no lumps. It's a light colored, finely ground powder that mixes easily and starts to thicken right away. I made the mistake of purchasing Viva Naturals first, and discovered it comes with a cancer warning on the label and is impossible to mix without lumps. Terrasoul cost a little more, but not having to worry about getting cancer from it, is worth it to me.

Using for my dog
I started add this to my dog's food to firm up her poo per the recommendation of my vet. She didn't recommend this one specifically but this one looked like the best option. Works great! She is on the Farmer's Dog. I sprinkle about 1/2 teaspoon to her food, mix it all up and I don't thin she even notices. Her poo is nice and firm now.

A TINY Amount Helps
I use a 1/4 teaspoon of this Psyllium Husk Powder in my morning shake for the purpose of slowing down my somehwat fast metabolism. The powder is ultra fine, nearly tasteless, and mixes easily in the shakes. The first two weeks, it caused moderate gas, but after that time, my stomach adjusted to the point where the gas is minimal. I'm happy with the results. However, the package's recommendation of one full teaspoon seems excessive to me. I start to feel constipated when I take a 1/2 teaspoon.People, PLEASE be mindful with your Psyllium Husk usage. It's more potent than you think. Start with a 1/4 teaspoon and work your way up slowly to larger amounts (if desired). Additionally, Drink a lot of water with it. If not, you could risk having major abdominal cramps or, at worst, an intestinal obstruction.

Excellent product.
I use Psyllium for its fiber to lower cholesterol. The superfine powder will mix well if it's first mixed with another easily dissolved powder such as whey protein powder, collagen or beet powder. That also gives it a better flavor and nutrition.

Doctor Recommended
A surgeon recommended this, after having the gall bladder removed, to help slow the travel of ingested foods. Instructions: mix 2 tablespoons with 6oz of water and drink quickly, immediately chase with 6oz of water. Why the specific instructions, because it does exactly what it is supposed to do, creates a fast reacting gelatin (similar to the children's play goop, Slime), that solidifies and expands when introduced to water, which swells in the stomach and restricts the flow of passing foods. It certainly does not taste great, but is relatively flavorless and manageable during consumption, especially when following the aforementioned instructions and downing it quickly. Great size bag for the $$$, and could likely be used alternatively as a dietary supplement.
