Update... feeling sheepish... found the tool, it's black, look in the front of the little box. screaming stops immediately upon you letting go of it once seated in ear,(very quickly). I received it today. My ears have never encountered an ear bud that fits comfortably until now. Sorry miracle ear, you're good stuff. I can hear much better with no weird noise. ORIGINAL: Nothing but a screaming high tone. No effective tool for volume, instructions are inadequate. I can't even review the operation of it because I can't figureout how to make it stop screaming.

I wear hearing aids so I'm familiar with them and I bought this one because of the small size. It was cheap so I thought I would take a chance and see if it would work for me. It was a mistake, but not a costly one. It has very good volume and with the proper ear sleeve it works without feedback, but the problem is the adjustment wheel; it is just way to small to even see with a magnifying glass and impossible to work with. After trying it for a while I just threw it in the trash. If you get one like this with a much bigger wheel it might work for you, but I don't recommend this one.

it is sporatic

I have worn high-end hearing aids for over eight years and continue to do so daily. Make no mistake....these are appropriate only what they are advertised for: hearing amplifiers. They amplify sound. They don't modify it to an individual's specific needs. For the price, why should they? They are great for the intended purpose and are a great value. I use mine as a supplement to my regular aids, which are over-the -ear (RIC) and are a total pain with mask wearing. I've had my regular aids slingshot across parking lots when removing a mask. These in-the -ear (CIC) aids do not get in the way at all. I also use them for strenuous outdoor activity. I am a bit concerned that the lack of any reference to replacement domes and wax filters could render these units useless at some point and would give these 5 stars if replacements were readily available. This review is specifically for the red (right) unit, but applies equally to the blue (left). I do like that these are sold separately, and are therefore individually replaceable if necessary.

Like that I was able to hear clearly, has been a long time to not be able to hear my cat cry ( guess she needs food more often) Wife's nagging is clear and sounds great. Fit's ear fine doesn't fall out . Still trying to figure out volume control but it's nice to hear all the sounds again.

This is the second one of these that I had in the last 3 weeks. The first one had NO volume control and the second one (this replacement) sounds very tinnie and even on low volume it will squel if you just tilt your head. I had one like this from another seller that I really liked but the battery door broke off. If you buy any of this type of hearing amplifier....buy the extended warranty!

I've worn hearing aids for the last seven years and have one of the expensive (Phonak) sets. I was looking for a CIC hearing aid because I didn't want to lose the expensive ones while putting a mask on and off. I have to say that I was very pleased with this set. They're well packaged, have some additional supplies and the Amazon batteries work well and last about 3-4 days with constant wear. My only suggestion would be to purchase one of those kits you use to repair eyeglasses with that has the tiny screwdriver. Adjusting the volume is easy if you have a small tool.

I bought this hearing device after the first one I bought failed in two weeks. Now this new one has failed after two weeks. It’s not a battery issue either. Too bad these hearing devices are such junk because, when they do work, they work well. I was hoping to get more than two weeks out of each one though.
