This pump does a great job. Don't be too concerned about some saying this pump burns out -- mine did too, after 6 months of ill treatment. I didn't mean to abuse it, but now I realize I did. The inlet hose had developed a pinch that I didn't see. The water pressure got weaker slowly over time until finally it wouldn't draw any water. When I took the old one out I saw the problem -- the hose was nearly pinched off, putting too much strain on the pump. I hooked up another I had as a backup (same make and model) and it is working beautifully, with amazing water pressure just like the first. I'm reinforcing the new hose to be sure it won't pinch and I'll be keeping a close eye on it. I'm very impressed by how well this little pump works. And, yeah, it' noisy, but I wan't expecting whisper quiet so I don't mind.

This 115V 1/10HP Water Transfer Pump has been an absolute workhorse for me. I originally bought it to help winterize my boat engine, and it handled the job perfectly. Since then, I’ve also used it to winterize my RV water system, and it performed just as well there. What really impressed me is how handy it is for off-grid camping — I used it to fill up my RV water system when we were boondocking, and it made the process quick and effortless. For such a compact pump, it moves water efficiently and reliably every time. If you need a versatile, dependable utility pump for boating, RVing, or general household tasks, this one is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it!

It works. It's loud as balls! 110 decibels tested with meter. Permanent hearing damage occurs above 80 decibels. This water pump and quality hearing protection earmuffs is a MUST combo! Then you'll love it! Works great for something this small. You could get a quieter one, at 10x the cost. It's nice to have quality hearing protection earmuffs regardless. Should be next to every toolbox!

I use the pump to drain water out of turtle aquariums so the transfer rate is fine for my job. I like having 2 hoses in the event that one becomes unusable. It doesn't take long to drain the water, so the noise does not last for long. It is easy to set up and I recycle the turtle water to a tree outside with a 25-foot hose. I like the on/off switch so I can shut it off quickly.

Just what I was looking for to use with my rain barrels. I used it for watering plants, and also for transferring water between barrels. It worked quickly and was easy to set up. I did follow the instructions to put some oil and water into the inlet. It was fairly noisy, and did heat up quickly. Knowing this, I need to plan how long I will use it, before I let it cool down. I suffer through the weekly noise of my neighbors' leaf blowers, so I didn't feel too guilty about the pump's noise. The strainer stands on its end, and does not lie down flat. The included 6' hoses came in handy. The best feature is the on/off switch. This allows me to shut it off quickly.
