Must have for shedders -Vet’s Best really is the BEST!!!
So my dogs have severe allergies and they do shed a bit even with regular brushing it’s impossible to get it all especially since they have a double coat. The top coat is straight and their undercoat is incredibly tight. We don’t mind the shedding but we needed to deal with the his allergies so that was why we bought this product. Prior to buying this we tried oatmeal baths, topical sprays and even put him on a vet prescribed medication call apiquel none of it really helped. But this product worked wonders on his itching it’s not 100% no itch but is so lessened that we don’t have to fear him hurting himself by scratching or biting. We also use the VetsBest Seasonal Allergy medication and it helps. These medicines are nondrowsy so it doesn’t put them to sleep like Benadryl or any other anti-itch medication would. It just helps relieve some of that itch so they can relax and calm. Before we started this my poor baby turtle (I know yes his name is turtle and he’s a dog) had lots of scratching spots he would scratch till his skin would bleed we were seriously worried about it and why he was scratching there were no fleas or no other health issues just this terrible itch well it turned out he is allergic to grasses, molds and gluten so with a diet change to gluten free cooking and these medications he’s doing so well his hair and grown back and while the itch will never completely go away it is under control to where he isn’t getting hurt. This medication as well as the Allergy Seasonal Medication by Vetsbest are lifesavers to us and to them. Now we can enjoy being outside with less itch and their shedding significantly less. I’d say it is at least a 75% improvement, the main thing we care about is that they feel better and enjoy activity their quality of life is so very important to us. With the itching controlled and are happier and that is a blessing to us. As I said we tried everything even expensive pharmaceuticals that did nothing but this worked we noticed a change within the first few days. A big thing he had to take into consideration though is consistency the dogs actually like the flavor of the medication so they eat it pretty easily but you have to be consistent and make it part of their schedule for us they get the medication twice a day at breakfast and dinner those times are set 8 PM is dinnertime and 8 AM is breakfast and they have snacks in between. We noticed that it was very important to not break up the routine if we went even a day without the medication because it was on order and hadn't arrived yet, the difference was instant and there was definitely a lot more itching happening. So while this does work be prepared for the investment and if you love your pet the investment is worth it for their comfort they will take this medication like my dogs do for the rest of their lives. Truth is they don’t seem to mind and the results are truly amazing so give it a try And be patient all dogs are different while mine reacted very quickly to it different dogs have different systems but I cannot stress how important consistency is. A consistent schedule for dosing is important that is something you cannot mess up on, the same thing as if we taken medication and have to take it every day at a specific time once you got a schedule it has to stay that way. I’d give 100 stars if I could for this product my pets are part of my family and their health is just as important as mine.

Amazed
A year ago my Pyrador had about 200 scabs on her. We put her on a wheat free diet. I make 1/2 her food and she gets a sweet potato & beef kibble. She still continued to get scab, just not as bad. I put her on “Vets Best Shed itchy “ about a month ago. She is now scab free.

Ineffective for my dog. But worth a try for yours for the price.
These were ineffective for my dog. They did not relieve his itching or shedding at all. However, for the price it is worth a try with your dog. I did not notice an off-putting smell. They are fingertip sized tablets. While I can pill my dog easily, it would also be easy to crush this up into or over some food. I did not try to just give it to my dog plain even now they're supposed to be flavored well.

No joke, this stuff really works! My 15 year old dog was licking like mad and it worked in 2 days!
I have a 15 year old golden doodle. For most of her life, she's been super healthy, no issues. Lately, she has gotten arthritis and when it flares up she gets itchy and licks her paws and all over which then leads to dry spots, which then leads to all kinds of trouble. We have tried everything with the vet- I even started to give her Benadryl to make her comfortable- which basically just knocked her out, which made me so sad, but stopped the licking for a few hours so she could get comfortable. We're talking a ferocious licker. Wake you up in the middle of the night kind of licking. She'd go from paw to paw, belly, tail, butt, whatever , wherever, she'd lick it. I tried bitter apple spray, wrapping her paws in bandages then spraying with the bitter apple. I tried oatmeal baths, medicated baths, medication after medication.... ointments, lotions... I even tried giving her mussels -yes MUSSELS like the green lipped fishy mussels to see if anything would help. She loved them, but they made her tummy upset so that was fun at 2am taking her out a few times every night. I was literally at my wits end. My husband was thinking it was about time to have the talk... and then I found the 8,000 plus reviews about these supplements. I literally thought its all hype. How could some organic stuff really help our dog stop licking everything like crazy? But, hey, at this point I literally have tried everything, why not one more? Well, here I am two days later and I can honestly tell you this stuff really works. I am not paid to write this review... although I wish I were. I didn't get a free sample, I didn't get anything free. I purchased this product and tried and true sampled it on my senior citizen doggie... and it totally works. If you have a dog who licks, scratches, chews or gnaws - try this. Get one bottle and try it. My dog loves them! I dont have to hide them to get her to eat them- literally, every other pill I have to shove in the back of her throat to get her to eat it. If I hide it, she will eat everything around the pill then spit out the pill itself. She is like MacGyver. Not with these pills, she thinks they're treats. She'll even go over to where I keep the bottle on the counter and bark at me, like "hey! Give me some more of those yummy snacks!" So, my takeaway: My dog loves them, they totally work, they stopped her from driving me literally from going insane with the licking, and they don't cost a fortune. Oh, and you don't need a vet to get them for you. Simple. I seriously wish I knew about these a few years ago when she started to get the arthritis licks....I could have saved SOO much money on medicated grooming baths, and shave downs, vet visits, etc. Just try them out. I swear by them.

I thought it didn't work at two months
After 3 months either a 4 year old dog quits blowing their coat in the biannual extreme, or this works wonders. I would say cuts shedding 3/4 or I got very lucky. It's been 6 months now and although I rarely gave more than a tablet a day, and skipped weeks, it made improvements, maybe saved another vacuum.

Made my dog much much worse!
I gave this faithfully to my dog who gets seasonal allergies, thinking it might help him. I gave him the tab and a half for his weight, twice daily and was almost through the second bottle. He really enjoyed the taste of them. I know it can take time for herbs and supplements to kick in so I kept giving them to him. He just kept getting worse and worse though. Ihad never seen him this bad, raw oozing skin, losing fur like crazy, skin flaking horribly, etc. He was totally miserable. I missed an entire day and then the next day too, until evening when I gave hima dose. During that second day he seemed better. After I gave him that evening dose, the next morning, he was a mess again! There is something in these that he must be allergic to. I stopped this last week, after that one evening dose and he is SO MUCH BETTER! I started giving him cod liver oil and he loves it. The skin flaking is almost totally gone and he isn't gnawing on himself like he was, anymore. Just beware that if they have allergies, they can be allergic to these too. If they start getting worse after awhile, withhold it for a day or two, see how they do, then give another dose. You can see if they don't tolerate it, especially if they are doing better when stopping it. I learned the hard way, unfortunately, for my dog.

Finally one that works for my best friend
I have a 10 pound Torkie who developed severe allergies around age 3. I have no idea what she is allergic to and the vet hasn't been able to determine the exact cause(s) either but regardless of the causes, her ears were severely itchy, as well as her legs and backside. Sometimes, when it's really bad, she'd get the sneezes and her nose would drip. For the last 3 years I have purchased and given her over 20 (or more) types of medicinal and homeopathic remedies, ranging from Benedryl (which upsets her stomach) to fish oil to every type of allergy relief I could find. Thus far, the Vet's Best Healthy Coat tablets, which contains Quercetin, is the only medication I have found that relieves at least most, if not all, of her symptoms. She does still get a tiny bit itchy when she's been in tall grass or the when it's real windy during spring and fall, but not near like she was. She's been taking the Vet's Best now for 6 months, with great results. I am not certain if it's just the Quercetin in it that has been the answer or maybe it's that along with the combination of all the ingredients in the Vet's Best tablets that works. I've given her other supplements containing Quercetin (each containing other ingredients as well) but those didn't help much, if at all, and a couple gave her indigestion but with all of those she was still itchy. The Vet's Best Healthy Coat tablets doesn't seem to bother her stomach or if it does, it's not noticable and she's SO much less itchy than before she started on it, occasional burps are a a small price to pay. I started giving her a fish oil supplement a few months too which has helped give her coat an awesome softness and shine and has eliminated her bit of dry flaky skin. Plus she likes the fish flavor a whole bunch. I use a pair of scissors to shave bits of the Vet's Best tablet, making a fine powder that's sprinkled over her food. She seems to like the taste, although it is combined with the drops of fish oil. I give her one half of the tablet per day. I feel confident in recommending this product if your dog has allergies. It really has improved the quality of my dogs life and mine too...much less worrying and concern. And to be honest, you can't beat the price. I am willing to spend any amount of money on my best friend but now the extra money saved from buying this supplement can go towards toys and fun....now that she not stopping to scratch every few minutes.
