As others have noted, this thing is increadly hard and uncomfortably upon first use; just like a new pair of quality shoes until worn in. Give it just an hour or so to conform to your posterior and I assure you that your derriere and all his friends will ultimately thank you profusely.

It's hard to find the right donut pillow. The blow up ones do nothing and the pillowy one don't offer enough support. The gel in this pillow is perfect. It offers support while being confortable at the same time. The gel conforms to your anatomy. I find it long lasting. It is a good size as well. if they are too small they feel awkward. What I like about this is I forget I am using it...I just feel comfortable. True to size and durable.

Ok I’m a big girl as in fat darling. This cushion holds up well for a few hours at a time. I weigh 340 so that’s pretty good. If your over weight or a really big guy/gal I would say this is probably your best bet for atleast some relief. Just you might need more then one so you can switch out if your sitting for an 8 hour work day.

I have used this pillow in the chair where I sit to use the computer. For over a year, I experienced a rather sharp paid whenever I went to get up after sitting in my chair. I just kind of gritted my teeth and prepared for it every time I arose. Since I have used this pillow, I rise out of my chair with no pain from the tailbone area! It works!! I thought at first that it was a little too hard to sit on, but once I got used to it and realized were to position myself on it, it has been pretty comfortable. Great purchase for me!

Purchased for the boyfriend who was having :: ahem :: an issue with his backside. He said it absolutely did not help. It might have been his body type or something. The pillow felt fine to me (although I was not the one with the "issue"), but we ended up sending back for a refund. Had no issues with that. I imagine everyone's backside is different and this may not be the pillow for everyone. His body type is lean/slender and he only weighs about 130 pounds if that helps you decide. And he's a man so he has a tiny man butt too...If you are on here looking for these types of pillows, I truly hope you find relief!!! These types of "issues" are not a joke.

I bought this donut pillow due to having lower tail bone pain eapecially while sitting for a long period of times. It has really hepled me to release the pressure on my tail bone while sitting. I used it in my car while driving and while sitting on my desk. Great product and I love it!! Thank you.

I was very disappointed in this cushion. It is as hard as a rock. At first I thought it was frozen from being outside in the cold weather for delivery. It is so uncomfortable and hard to sit in. What a waste of money. I do not recommend this to anyone!!!

Years ago as a nurse I worked with paraplegics and quadriplegics. They spent hours each day sitting in their wheelchairs. The only cushions available were air filled rubber type cushions. Their skin suffered and there were many cases of skin breakdown. So we were all delighted when gel cushions such as this one, came out. The weight was more evenly distributed and so there were far fewer skin problems. In looking for current buying options for my tender tailbone, I saw foam cushions and gel. I feel that the gel more evenly and firmly distributes weight than the foam and is longer lasting. This one works great while sitting in a straight backed chair; not so well in the car or on the couch.

Garbage Hard uncomfortable

I am a heavy woman, and the cushion is firm enough to take several hours before it becomes compressed to the point that it no longer protects me from pain, and then it only takes half an hour or so to restore itself to its full height. The edges are soft and comfortable. It's light enough to take from one room to another. Using this in my recliner, I have had the first good sleep I've had for weeks, and that alone is worth the price. I have had it less than a week, but it looks as if it will be durable. It seems to be just what they claim, a quality product kept to an affordable price.
