DKFindout! Stone Age

We used this book for home education on the Stone Age. It's got lots of easy to understand information and bright pictures. It went really well with our resources from Twinkl and was our go to for learning.

The Stone Age is part of Year 1 Curriculum so I thought this book was a good one to engage and talk about the subject at home. Easy to read, even for year 1 readers, very well explanatory and interesting. The pictures are real, not illustrations, which makes everything easier to visualise. Excellent addition to our book collection.

Just right for primary children

Bought to compliment school books - Year 3 are doing Stone Age this coming year. We will now be ahead of the class!

I was very impressed by the amount and quality of information packed into this book. It has a lot of ground to cover: all of human prehistory from the evolution of early humans up to the transition to the Bronze Age. There are pages on hunting, toolmaking, clothes, shelters, Ice Age animals, the domestication of dogs, cave paintings, the origin of farming and more.

This book was brilliant. It had a good variety of information, in bite size, easy to understand pieces. The pages are bright and inviting and the pictures are very good quality which enhanced the learning and understanding of the texr. If you have to choose one Stone age book, then this is the one. It really helped so much and my daughter got a prize for being in the top 3 of her class.

Highly recommend this book above others, the images and information are clear and concise. Had heard loads of very positive feedback from others before buying it myself - well worth the money! Very interesting content that brings in over 2 million years of human history to an understandable level for both children and adults (not many books can claim that!). Very impressed by how DK have presented the way tools were made in prehistory especially.

Bought for my daughter’s year 3 school project. Perfect For 8+ years old. Plenty of information with pictures to keep her interested and seems to link well with school curriculum as we have used it weekly alongside her work set for the topic during lockdown school closures. Great buy.
