I loved these books as a child and infer the need to have the boxed set. I’ve read this series so many times that I might have it memorized. The characters are three dimensionally written and for a fantasy series, relatable. The plot is a simple good vs evil and the ending of the series is a bittersweet one.

Great reads. A touch of Harry Potter and C. S. Lewis. I've read the series before but wanted my own set. A classic conflict of the light and the dark.

I LOVED this series when I was young and have returned to it now in my more elderly stage of life. I'm a few chapters in and the writing is still as wonderful as I remembered it to be. I ordered this set with the new covers as my old set had seen far better days. The new covers are gorgeous. My only reason for dropping a star was the paper used for the pages. Very grey and not the quality I would've liked. If I hadn't been in a rush I would've ordered the hardback set. Now I'm wishing I waited. That's presuming the paper in hardback version would be of better quality. This let's down the writing which is amazing.

13-year-old loves the stories. I put a couple of different chapter book sets in my cart that I thought would be interesting to him. He read review and descriptions and picked what he thought would be interesting to him. I ordered and the book set came quickly and beautifully packaged. Great quality and super easy to read. Some language/spelling geared toward the characters so slightly different but fun, per the home-schooled child enjoying the set!
