I got this Craft & Venture Wax Melter for Candle Making because I wanted to try making soap and homemade candles for gifts. It's really easy to use, and there is a short learning curve. I did some web searches to find the best temperatures and methods for the different types of wax and soap I wanted to use. This melts every medium I've used so far well, and it holds a lot of wax, so I can make a big batch and keep it melted while I pour the molds.If I had to make a recommendation - it would be to make the legs longer to raise it up higher off the cabinet, then move the spout down. As it is, it's sturdy, and it's not a big deal to tilt it or pour the last bit out of the melter.

Wax melter does awesome. Steady source and wide range of heat. It holds a good 7 quarts makes quite a bit of liquid wax. Overall great product!

I purchased this product last October. I had to return the first one because it was missing a piece and when I plugged it in, it sounded like it was sparking. The company was great to work with and replaced it immediately. With the replacement I have constantly had to adjust the temp dial. With my other brand melters, I set the temp dial and just plug in and unplug as I need to use them and temperature always stays the same. But not with this melter. I keep my wax at around 195° but on this dial I have to keep it around 140° for it to get the wax somewhat close to the temp I need. About 3 times that I've had this model, the dial will be in the same place and ill start hearing the melter making noise and ill go see whats happening and the temp of my wax will be over 400°. Ill remove the lid and smoke will start pouring out and it'll sound like its boiling and has ruined my wax. Ive lost alot of money with this purchase. And its too late to return it.

I make candles to sell at vendor fairs with my wife. Initially I was making them with the double boiler method, but this melter is absolutely a step up. If you’re considering getting a wax melter, this is a pretty good one.Here’s my problems with it, even if they are small. The melter needs at least 1 pound of wax to use properly. When you run low on wax in the melter, you need to tip the pot a drastic amount to finish getting the wax. Be very careful with that. Another problem is the heat dial on this model is very strange, and you’ll only be turning it very slightly as if you cook wax in it the max you’ll go to is around 200. This thing goes up to like 600 degrees. Just be careful. The lid also isn’t a rubber seal.In all, 4/5 stars. Pretty good melter for the price, and gets the job done well!

I've been using for over a year and no problems.

I enjoy this wax melting pot holds a good amount. Ordered another one. My only issue is the spout doesn't warm up so it gets clogged after not pouring for while and I'll have to heat it with a heat gun to pour again.

The spot is rather high so when the volume is low, you have to tip it to get product out or pour from the side, so not very easy to use, but it does heat/warm well and is easy to clean
