I wasn’t sure what to truly expect out of the box but I’m really pleased with these. They feel really good in the hand and they’re hella sharp. The magnetic board has some heft to it. Pretty decent price for a knife set IMO. Time will tell how durable these are but for now, they definitely get 5 stars. I would purchase these again.

Very good starter to intermediate set. Light weight, good balanced feel. Should be easy to sharpen with the carbon steel. Looks cute with the face on handle end. Very sharp compared to my old knives. Careful to hand wash

I’m impressed with this knife block. Very high-quality knives, extremely sharp, and a pleasure to use. The only thing I don’t like is the logo on each knife. I would prefer a cool symbol or graphic design rather than a sketch of a bald guy with glasses… LOL

These knifes seem super high quality. I will say, the logo at the top should be changed to just a B or something more subtle (this is my mistake since it clearly shows it in the photos I just didn't notice) . I love Babish, but I don't want his head on all my knife sets lol. I'm giving 5 star review but please find a subtle logo for your beautiful knife set!

I've had the Chef's knife for about 2 years and have even bought them as gifts for friends and family. Finally bit the bullet on the whole set to replace my crappy scalloped blade set. (Side note: don't buy the scalloped blades. You can't really sharpen them and they don't "stay sharp" like they tell you. I bought rhem before I knew anything about blade sharpening and cooking). This set is the real deal. Every blade is crazy stupid sharp out of the box and the honing rod works excellent. With daily use for about 2 months, the edge is still razor sharp. I give them a quick hone every 6-10 uses. My wife and son are afraid of them but appreciate the efficiency of cutting without slipping through your food LOL. - Great edge retention. Feels brand new again after a quick hone (15 passes on each side) - Great handle...premium feel. Solid. Balanced. - The dining knives have serrations towards the tip to hold your food in place when you make your cut...nice feature - Bread knife does great work on crusty loaves - Your big 3 (chefs knife, santoku knife and slicer) are greatly proportioned. They're totally worth it. Comparatively, you can't beat the quality to value. Thanks for making an affordable option!

I ordered these because I wanted a new knife set that came with 4-5 quality knives instead of 15+ chinesium ones. I had no idea who this Babish guy was and ordered them based on looks and specs alone. They arrived and I was surprised to see that some bald guys face is all over them, I guess its the logo from the youtuber Babish, which I hadn't noticed in the pictures somehow. Its on the end of each pommel and both sides of the base of the magnetic board. They could've just written Babish and I would've been happier. This is my only gripe is the logo is ugly and they put it in too many places After using them for a few months all I can say is: Damn these things are sharp! They look gorgeous besides the egregious logos and I don't at all regret buying a smaller knife set vs a 15+ piece block style setup. The base takes up less room on the counter vs a block and the magnet is very strong. It's also double sided magnetic, so I threw a pair of kitchen shears and a small pairing knife on the back. Overall these are fantastic knives for the money. I only wish they'd dial back the generic bald guy glasses logo that every youtuber uses. Check the pictures closely but otherwise you'll love them.
