So far so good
Our induction heat goes between 5 and 9, and then the rapid boil. At 8 the cooktop mat did great. No discoloration (on the mat or stove) or smell. I would be leary trying the boil function and probably wont try that. I do really like that the mat is not sticky as another I had purchased (different supplier) was. The pan doesnt slide around as much and the heat seemed to be even; i do think that has a lot to do with your pan though. As long as you have an actual induction, not the electric glass top, I would recommend and I will be buying more.

Perfect for glass top induction range.
We planned our cookware carefully before getting an induction stove. When it arrived, each piece worked perfectly except for the wok. The bottom was ever so slightly rounded, so we always needed one hand to hold the wok on the burner as we stirred with the other. This mat keeps it from slipping and protects the glass top from scratches from our cast iron frying pan. We see no difference in performance.

Works perfectly!
I went from a gas range to electric when moving. I upgraded the old range that came with our house to an induction cooktop since it cooks almost like a gas range does. It’s actually better, but that’s a different review. These silicone protectors are a lifesaver for anyone as picky as me about how their cooktop looks and lasts. I use these every single time a pan touches the burner. Every time. I don’t have a single scratch on my glass top and I’ve been using it for two years. I recently ordered a second set of these to stow away in case anything ever happens to my original set. They wash easily and hold up well. I can’t recommend them enough! Buy them, you won’t be disappointed!

Holds your pan in place..
This mat protects the induction glass, however, it does slow the magnetic heating process. We purchased this mat to hold the pans in place so they don’t slide on the cooktop. Perfect for that!

Will burn when used on induction cooktop.
Used it a couple times with a cast iron pan and heat set shy of 3/4, but tried higher heat around 3/4 and it started burning. Luckily the induction cooktop sensed it and automatically shut down. Left a nasty burn stain on the induction cooktop but was able to buff it out with Meguiars Ultimate Compound (automotive wax).

Perfect. 100% better than the light-colored version.
When we got our "fancy" ceramic-top induction stove in our kitchen remodel a few years back, we were worried about the durability of the surface, which came with all kinds of warnings about using cast iron (our favorite kind of cookware) lest the surface be damaged. So I grabbed a previous version of this product, which was kind of a khaki color. I liked it because in addition to protecting from scratches, it also kept the area around the big burner mostly spatter-free. But it always looked dirty, and no amount of scrubbing or dishwashwering would get it clean. This one is the answer. LIKES This is a durable, Kevlar-(like?) mat to put on over the burner on your flat-top induction stove. It appears to be impervious to any level of heat, and it does not interfere with the induction process. As noted, it protects from scratches, although our experience has been the ceramic material does not in fact scratch easily. More importantly for us, it also prevents a lot of cooked-on spatter, which makes cleaning the stove much easier. Best of all, this one shows no stains. I can't even tell if they're not there or the dark color is covering them, but it looks like the day we bought it. DISLIKES None, really. The only way we've managed to damage one of these (besides the stains on the light-colored ones) was when someone accidently used it as a mat to cut something with scissors and slid the scissor underneath, snipping a little cut into it. So uh ... don't do that? It does fine in the dishwasher, and looks fine sitting on the stove. Five stars for the this BLACK COLORED ONE ONLY. There really is no reason to get the light color that will immediately absorb permanent stains.

Wonderful Product - Read this if you’re unsure…
My wife and I had to replace all of our appliances earlier this year and because of where we live, we had to stick with electric. After figuring things out, we purchased an induction stove specifically because of the safety and energy saving benefits. Originally, we purchased only one of these things, but decided to buy one for each burner. Pros: Absolutely protects the stove glass/ceramic surface Non-slip Easy to clean Cons: Cannot function on the highest setting Non-slip makes it difficult for things like stovetop popcorn or wok cooking Kind of sort of takes longer to heat a pan Now, here’s the deal. There are so many reviews out there about how it burned, and a lot of it is really user error. It specifically says on the item that this is for induction stoves, NOT normal electric stoves. Induction uses magnets, not radiant heating. Induction heats the pan only, everything else heats the entire cooktop. Also, it specifically says NOT to use on induction stoves without numerical settings (think digital - if you have an induction stove with a turn knob, these will NOT work) and to never use on high. If you do that, you will not have any problems. Something to mention is that you should be careful with cast iron. Cast iron needs to work on a piping hot stove, and because it can get hotter than the recommended temperature, it will burn the silicon pads. There are reviews where people say it works for them. Awesome! Just be careful with cast iron. Kitchen hack with wok cooking and stovetop popcorn: cut a piece of parchment paper and place between the silicon mat and the pan. That allows for the ability to move the pan around without damaging the surface of the stove. You could of course put the parchment paper directly on the stovetop, but you really want the silicon pad to prevent whacking the glass/ceramic stovetop. This is an A+ rating from me.

Works for Samsung with Anti-Scratch Glass Cooktop
Been using for about 2 months, works well on my Samsung Bespoke Slide-in Induction Range, with the "Anti-Scratch Glass Cooktop." You can see in the photo that I ordered 2 of the "Lazy K" and 2 cheaper ones. I like both, but prefer the "Lazy K" because they're thicker and don't appear like an after-market accessory. I will point out that the "Lazy K" ones did leave white marks the first 1 or 2 times that I used them which came off without too much trouble. I was concerned but it has no longer happened so I'm guessing there was a substance on the surface for manufacturing or shipping.
