Holy crap, this is not kidding around (it's good?)
After the pandemic hit and my gym closed for the foreseeable future, I've been trying to figure out some indoor stuff to do (not a great/dedicated outdoor exerciser, unfortunately). This seemed like a sweet spot between cost and quality - I read a ton of reviews for various products - so I ordered it to add cardio to the weights I have. Um, it is cardio-revving, for sure, but consider this resistance training as well, and it is a beast. You're not going to be able to "just do this" for your standard cardio workout or anything close to it. I generally do pretty high intensity elliptical for 22-25 minutes, and in my first try today, I could barely do 15 reps (seconds). I wound up rotating "sets" of 10-15, resting longer than that in between, for several minutes, doing several rounds of that. Sweaty. And it's definitely working THE HECK OUT OF my glutes, abs, and upper arms. I just need to figure out a workout routine on this thing going forward. I could feel a temper tantrum coming on when I opened up the very small-print, dense directions. But actually, it came together beautifully and easily. It's really well considered, and the bolts and nuts come already in their spots (you take each nut off to attach pieces to each other, but this way you have an immediate sense of where things go). In a mere single use, granted, the motion was smooth, it felt stable - though I can't see a big guy using this (my 175lb teen son might be able to, but I'm not sure). Definitely solid for me at 136lb, 5'5". UPDATE: WOW. This is way better than I thought. I missed the back few pages of the assembly guide that offer directions about how to make adjustments to the machine in order to moderate intensity. This comes set as the most intense (highest resistance) mode. But by changing the seat post height and reducing from 3 to 1 the connection of the resistance bands (if you buy this you'll know what I'm referring to), I can now absolutely use this as a more regular cardio device - it still kicks my butt, but much closer to standard cardio (I was able to do 20 minutes, in 2 blocks, working up a heavy sweat vs. my standard 22-25 minutes on a gym elliptical with medium sweat). So this can really be used, in an intense setting, as more resistance tool, and at a lower setting, as more cardio. This is quite a great option for home exercise.

Compact, sturdy, good quality.
This seems like a stable, easy-to-use upright rowing machine. Set-up took about 25 minutes (including interruptions from the dog) and even though some of the written instructions were vague, the accompanying illustrations made things clear. It might be nice to have a guide for setting the seat and handlebars based on the user’s height. It is small enough that I think it will fit next to my folding exercise bike and weight bench without being in the way when it isn’t in use. I haven’t used it for a full workout yet, but I tried it out for a couple of minutes and it glides smoothly. I had back surgery a couple of months ago and I’m looking for ways to strengthen my core without putting too much stress on my back. It is getting boring just to use the exercise bike, so I think this will add some variety to my workouts. Overall, I’m very satisfied.

You’ve got gym at home! :)
I absolutely love this machine! It gives me the workout I need without having to head to the gym! It’s quiet. Easy to put together! Comes with a great app that you can track easily! Connects with your Apple Watch too! I have a smaller place and it is collapsible and doesn’t take a lot of room when not in use! I love it! I’ve had this machine well over half a year and I love using it almost daily!

Good But Not Built for Taller People
PRO: The Smart Row is a good product. It is sturdy, and relatively safe and easy to assemble and use. The design is simple, and you use your body weight/strength to operate. Also, it doesn't take up a lot of space. You get a pretty decent squat and stretch workout. CON: The seat doesn't have enough padding. The seat height is pretty low, making it awkward to mount/dismount if you are 5'7" tall or over. I would recommend.

Great value! Great workout!
I rarely submit reviews, but after nearly 4 years of great service from this rower, I felt obligated to leave one. I got this machine in 2020 during Covid shut downs when my legs were cramping up being on zoom for many hours a day. I get on for about 8 minutes every morning on full resistance. It took me about a year to work up to that and it was part of the last half of losing 90 pounds and trying to do enough strength training to not lose muscle. For the record, I am now 61 years old (female) and am fitter than I have ever been and am maintaining a healthy weight and am still getting stronger. I also do gym workouts and play pickleball, but this machine has been my every morning machine and it is versatile. It gives a good leg workout (glutes, quads) and if you vary your pulling focus, you can also get good arm (biceps, triceps) and back muscles and I also learned to include ankle pumps in the rowing motion to alleviate a drop foot problem I had. I also had my knees both replaced 8 months ago, and now I have been using the machine to work on knee flexibility and strength. It also does not take up much room and has been working perfectly for 4 years and going strong! I recommend just getting on when you get out of bed and do 5-10 minutes before you shower. Easy to do, not too sweaty and a great way to get your body moving in the morning.

Great quality. Sturdy. Easy to assemble.
Great quality. Highly recommended. It folds up; easy to store. Very sturdy; doesn’t wobble during use. I was able to assemble this in less than 30 minutes. The box was heavy, but once it’s assembled it’s easy to move.

Great Piece Of Fitness Equipment.
This thing does exactly what the product description says it does. I'll be retiring in a couple years from a physically demanding job. I'm in much better shape than most people my age. What I was looking for, was a piece of fitness equipment that would help me maintain my current level of fitness without having to go to the gym, because I don't want to become one of those old guys who can barely get off the couch. The Sunny Fitness Row and Ride fits the bill perfectly. After I assembled it (which took 20 - 30 minutes) I hopped on just to give it a test drive. Wow. With none of the tension bands attached, I was really feeling it in my legs and glutes after just a few reps. I could also feel a nice stretch in my lower back. The lower body workout with this machine is excellent. It's a well-made piece of equipment that will last for years. It's not going to solve all your fitness needs, but it's a calorie burner for sure that provides an outstanding lower body workout. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. It makes a great addition to any home gym, and the price is amazingly low. I could see something like this Row and Ride going for over $200 easily. If you buy it, you won't be disappointed......Edit. After watching some videos on YouTube and following those workouts, I can say that this Row and Ride is indeed a full body workout. It takes high reps for the upper body part, but it gets it done.

OMG
Missing parts like I’ve had happen before. Several important screws and bolts missing in handlebar, stabilizing feet. Electronics destroyed cracked in many pieces and not usable. All just thrown in box loose. Box looks like it came from Hell. In spite of all the disappointment I put it together the best I could and it works well. Will not buy for cheaper on Used-Like New ever again.
