I used a branded descaler with my Gaggia espresso machine and after a couple of years the solenoid valve got gummed up. It turned out to be bits of corroded boiler. Fortunately Gaggia boilers are relatively cheap and easily replaced. Now I use this Gaggia descaler and everything has been working well for several years.

Its gaggia descaler I honestly cant see the point,as you can use descaller for other machines----cheaper from Amazon.
