Expensive compared to other options, but works perfectly for 4K w/ HDR
I had originally purchased the 4K 4:2:0 model (not HDR compliant) to extend the signal from my 4K Blu-ray player to my new QLED 65". I thought $125 was a high price to pay, but bit the bullet. I couldn't get video to transmit unless I handicapped the video quality in the device settings significantly. I determined with the assistance of a J-Tech support rep that this was truly expected based on the specs of the non-HDR pair. So, I took a deep breath and bought the 4:4:4 HDR model for double the price, and video transmits beautifully and flawlessly. I have been using them for over a year with zero issues, other than my IR transmitter/receiver doesn't seem to work. This isn't a big deal for me, but if it is for you, take that with a bit of caution.I have these in use on either end of a 25' shielded Cat6 run. They do run a bit hot, but they're pushing ~18GB/sec, so I give them some grace. Bottom line - if you want to get the full benefit of your brand spanking new 4K HDR TV, and you need tx/rx baluns, you will need to pony up. I took a chance with J-Tech, and their performance has matched the reviews. Excellent!

Great product, Plug and Play
Works great, literally plug and play. I tried wireless mirroring and that did not work well, this product works great. My only question is that the receiver seems to run a little hot, not burn you hot, but it is a little hot. I hope it doesn't fail over time. Otherwise this is great and easy to use product.

Works perfectly - Plug and play - Pro quality
Packaged very well. Included adapters, stellar. Works perfectly for me, no glitches. Am using it with 50' cat 6 and 4k capable HDMI cables, at 1024P. No higher challenges tested. POE to receiver excellent feature. Don't like that the transmitter gets hot in operation, as that can shorten its life. Have not checked receiver for heat as it's mounted high with a video projector. Five Stars if not for the heat. It's compact and decently engineered.

Works Flawlessly! No Sync Issues on 4K content!
I use 2 sets of these in my home theater. One set is used to send 4k video from my McIntosh MX121 Processor to my Sony 4k native projector over a 50' Cat6 UTP cable. A second set is used for a 75' run to the tv's in my bar at the back of the theater. High quality 2' HDMI cables connect the boxes to the devices. Works flawlessly! Prior to going this route I was having sync issues or 4k not supported issues intermittently. I have a really nice theater, it was driving me crazy to have all 4k native equipment yet troubles making it work. This solution is amazing! Now all my 4k content plays perfect, no errors, stunning picture.

Not HDCP 2.2 complaint
UPDATE 2: Stopped working again. No HDCP 2.2, just HDMI. I even tested with a very short (6ft) right next to my TV and it is still not working.UPDATE: I made it work by connecting a power supply to the receiving unit. Bumping it up to 4 stars. Not 5 because they provide only one power cable and also because the unit gets HOT! Be careful where you place it.OLD REVIEW: I connected a Roku ultra through my HT HDCP 2.2 port and still got a message saying that the connection was not HDCP 2.2 compatible. When roku is plugged directly to the TV I have no problems. Using a short cat5e connection.

They just work
What can I say, they just work. They do what they say - no confusing setup, just plug them in and go. We just built our house and I was nervous to have all our TV cable/network/speaker runs go back to a room in our basement. I'm running Apple TVs over these. I have a couple installations where I use two sets because the Apple TV gets too far away for the remote (and I hate the iOS app) and while expensive, it works in this configuration as well. I have other J-Tech models (slightly less expensive) for most TVs as Apple TVs can't go 4:4:4 and we primarily use them with Plex.

Didn’t work for me
I have a vizio E65-F1 4K TV over my fireplace and I have pre-run 2 50ft HDMI cables and a few cat5e cables prior to moving into my home. My components are in a cable in back of my family room. Never had a problem until I got 4K Directv and the 4K vizio TV 1080P signal work fine over the 50foot cable. So Prior to getting this item I purchase a hdmi repeater one is behind the tv and the second I got later is at the source. Keep in mind the installion is 6 years old. I’m also using a 4K switch since all my components are in the cabinet. The reason for purchasing this item was I was having a Intermittent problem where my TV would just turn it’s self. So I thought it was the hdmi switch so I bypass that work well for a few days or weeks. Then I notice the TV turned off again. So I was going to try the hdmi over Ethernet. Tried it without the 4K switch got a brief picture then once I change the channel is was gone was only getting audio. Thought maybe something wrong with the cable I pulled thru the wall. I when out in the garage got my box of cat5e ran a cold drop and had the same problem. So this item didn’t work for me. I call j tech twice and each time I call they where closed. This item was 250.00plus dollars and it didn’t work as advertised. So my next option would be to open the wall and run a fiber HDMI cable.

Works Well Outdoors
So far this product is working very well with almost perfect picture clarity and was very easy to set up. The only small issue I'm seeing is that occasionally the sound will cut out for a second but other than that I have no complaints thus far.
