The Knot Bridesmaid Handbook: Help the Bride Shine Without Losing Your Mind Paperback – Illustrated, 22 Dec. 2009

As with many wedding books these days, this one is American. Not a massive problem, you just need to know the lingo, bridal shower (which we don't seem to do in the UK), rehearsal dinner, and bachelorette party (the dreaded Hen do!)I bought it for my sister - even though we have less than 3 months to the wedding - because I felt she needed a little help (Bridezilla, moi?!) Not sure whether she'll read it but the quick flick through I had proved it's quite a useful book and one I would recommend either to Brides to buy their maids or for newly appointed Bridesmaids themselves to give them a head start on the fate that is to befall them (the Bridezilla!)

Although I got this as a present for my sister, the book looked great and just what I wanted. Written well, great for her as a chief bridesmaid, and lots of laughs in it. Would recommend as a present.

My daughter is the MoH and she is also a bride. Planning both is insanity but this book has helped her tremendously. Highly recommend for the list writers and planners. It has everything you could possibly think of.

My friend pushed her wedding date back so I've yet to read this book, but I flipped through and it's a very nice book. Well designed, covers the bases and what not. LOVE The Knot and it was up to par. I might consider buying these for my bridal party when my boyfriend puts a ring on it! Would be great for one of those "bridesmaid proposal" gifts.

I was a recent maid-of-honor in my best friends wedding. I ordered this book (after reading the reviews) to get some helpful and creative ideas for my role as "Lead" bridesmaid such as bridal showers, bachelorette party, gift ideas, special/touching/thoughtful moments, etc. This was a great purchase.I recommend that bridesmaids purchase this book EARLY.Or even... I recommend brides purchase this book for their bridesmaids EARLY.For example the book gives a list of outside-the-box bachelorette party ideas (which I really needed because our party was on a Wednesday and NOTHING is open on a Wednesday!) The list was very helpful!

Overall a really helpful book. 4 stars only because some of the suggestions are a bit dated, but it will definitely get you on track in the right direction.
