The workbook covers a variety of topics, so my child uses it for studying and finds it helpful. While the depth on each topic is a bit limited, it’s great for building a solid foundation.

Great workbook and teacher approved. Very insightful instructions and sample problems that help kids learn. This book is highly recommended.

Bought for additional problems for my son to work on since he doesn’t get enough at schools overall it’s great but sometimes not the same level of difficulty he gets from school despite the same Content. Great supplement and some of the breakdowns of how to do a concept are so much better than what his teacher teaches

They definitely want you to use the app along side this, I would but our internet is not reliable what so ever but since my sister loves the app I decided the books are probably going to be just as good. Sometimes the directions are a little too vague because they want the app to assist. Other than that I love that it’s loads of work, I hate it when it’s 98% chatting and directions and 2% work, I like it completely reversed and it is. They remind me of scholastics and comprehensive but with a little less directions sometimes. I got this work for my 4th and 6th graders too in their grades. One time my 4th grader wanted to know what she had to do on her page even after reading the directions and with all 5 of us in the family standing around her work we never did understand it, its not a good feeling to skip a page because nothing makes any sense and it’s lacking directions. I am thankful my 8th grader had less troubles and got through it fine enough. It’s a good work book but maybe consider getting the app to fill in, I believe my sister pays monthly for the app so buyers beware.

What a wonderful addition to the iXL platform! Each page has several problems on it, growing in difficulty and complexity! Each lesson is introduced with proper vocabulary and examples. At the bottom of each page is a corresponding skill (on the iXL site) to use if more practice is needed. This could be used for introducing new topics, reviewing a skill, or helping a student who needs extra practice.

Pretty standard for eighth grade. Very straightforward. Great for homeschooling where kids don’t want all the fluff and text. Just get straight to the point, ya know? If you pair this with an online IXL membership, it would be absolute homeschool perfection.

My son doesn’t like doing math practices but IXL books seem to be an exception. I am not sure why, the font size, the color, the just right amount problems on each page. I do not know but he actually went through grade 6,7 and 8 and want more but found no more.

Was excited for this as we have an ixl account too. Was planning on using this booklet together with our Canadian account on ixl but unfortunately the codes don't work because the booklet is the American version. I phoned ixl and unfortunately they do not have a canadian book version. So just be aware if you're Canadian, the codes on each page that bring you to the problem on the ixl site, do not work for a Canadian account.
