Leviton 41084-FWF QuickPort F-Type Adapter, Nickel-Plated, White

Well...to be honest I wish i could buy all Leviton network connectors and jacks for my networking needs but at their high prices its literally impossible....leaving me to have to fend through all the bogus and fake (and misrepresented) overseas junk on Amazon to meet all my network needs. These were definitely an exception to that need. I purchased these to install on the ends of a patch panel as that the panel was a CAT6 24 space and I only needed the middle 16 so filled in the ends with blanks. They snapped right in, fit nice and tight and sat nice and flush to the front of the panel board so they fit the need as intended and make for a nice look. I would buy these again, and would even buy the actual Leviton CAT6 keystones if they were reasonably priced on Amazon. I have been doing electrical and low voltage installations for the past 30+ years and Leviton products, although not cheap (at least on Amazon), have always been my most favorite brand of networking and electrical components. They are always first in class, are exceptionally well built and to spec (which is huge), always work flawlessly and Leviton always stands behind their products to the end. Unfortunately Amazon does not stock many options for Leviton products and even more so do not offer good pricing on most anything they do carry from them. This is too bad....for some reason Amazon chooses to allow the bogus China companies to continually falsely represent their products and sadly produce some of the most out of spec and defective products on Amazon in this category, in turn leading to delay of projects, wasted time and the need for continual returns (although I have been noticing that now Amazon denies returns of a good portion of those products - ah...I see how it works..so sad of Amazon). I so wish Leviton would be more price competitive cause if that was the case they would hold the market as the best selling and highest quality products in the electrical and low voltage (networking) categories, saving Amazon customers from all the grief of the mixed bag of vendors and poor business practices Amazon now allows. Its almost like Amazon is becoming the new Alibaba....quickly.

When it comes to Coax Keystone or QuickPort connectors, I’ve tried a few different brands. Most notably, Cable Matters and Leviton, both of which have pros and cons. In a recent install, I made the decision to go with the Leviton QuickPort Coax connector for a variety of reasons, but honestly, the main one has to do with its looks. My past experience with copper or "gold-plated" connectors has seen them oxidize, and become dull over time. Though this doesn’t actually impact performance, it does impact the visual aesthetics in this recent installation, which had a few connectors in areas that may be visible to guests. Because of that, I decided to go with a nickel-plated option, and because of the quality and reliability of Leviton, and the fact that many of my other components are Leviton, I selected these. They are outstanding and I have zero regrets or buyer's remorse. In fact, I plan on using these as my preferred connector moving forward, and the connector I would recommend to those asking as well as family. Pros: - The nickel-plated connector will not fade or oxidize over time. - Leviton is a well-respected brand that has been around for a long time and makes some of the highest-quality components in the industry. - The components are marked for easy installation. Cons: - They are a bit more expensive than some of the other brands, however, not enough that I feel it should deter one from choosing them Would I recommend this to a friend: Absolutely, and they are now my go-to.

This worked well - fit right into the Leviton plate I had with no issues. It’s pricier than others, but to me it was worth it to make sure I had a quality connector.

*** NOT A PAID REVIEW *** Bottom Line: Nice Product for DIY This is a review of several products in one (Arlington Recessed Outlet Wall Plate Kit ($13), Leviton QuickPort Decora Insert ($5), Leviton QuickPort Cat 5e Jack ($3), Leviton QuickPort F-Type Adapter ($5), Leviton 15 Amp, 125 V Duplex Receptacle ($7), and RiteAV Coax/Cat6 Wall Plate ($14)) to save some time while still providing feedback for anyone interested in buying these items. I purchased these items to customize my home entertainment center (basically hide unsightly cords/tripping hazards). I liked the recessed option so that I keep the tv as close to the wall as possible without damaging the cords. The other items in the list (as previously noted) fit nicely into the box but were not necessarily specifically needed. The items arrived within 2-3 days of purchase as expected for prime members. All items were prepackaged and new/unopened. As you can see in the pictures, everything fit nicely together and looked clean once installed and in use. My only gripe would be the price for plastic components but I would still recommend it and would do it again. Cons: - expensive for plastic components Pros: - fits nicely - easy install - makes for clean setup

This port insert is quite easy to use if you're familiar with network wiring. This is widely used commercially and is a standard for quality. There are other types of ports, some are easier to use, and many more expensive. If you connect this right, you only have to insert the wires once in its lifetime so whey spend a lot more unless you have a LOT of ports to install. The experienced electrician should have no problem with this port, the inexperienced shouldn't either, just take your time and double check your work.
