This is a really lovely rain jacket, we have a yorkshire terrier and unfortunately it was just too small, I have always bought small for him and this is probably about an inch smaller than he is, so if you are buying one get the next size up, the jacket is really padded, and the straps are nice and firm, this is a perfect jacket to keep my dog warm and dry in the winter, overall I would recommend.

My little Jack Russell looked gorgeous the minute I put this coat on him! It's easy to fit - just put their legs through and zip up the back then adjust the harness to the correct tightness and away you go! It's actually supposed to be waterproof but it isn't all that - just showerproof. Once you've washed it, it becomes even less waterproof but it does keep the rain off for a while, if it's not too heavy. It is warm and snuggly though and the collar trim and harness are fluorescent so it's great for night-time walks. I got a size S to fit my Jack and he's 10" tall and slim built. I doubt if it would fit a larger Jack as it is a really good fit on him with no loose or baggy bits so if you've got one of the taller, stockier Jack Russell's, size up for a better fit.

I have 2 JRT's one smooth haired and one rough. The smooth haired one feels the cold and I thought this coat would be perfect for her and my intention was to get a second one for the other dog. It fits her well, adjusts with the webbing straps to get a snug fit and looks so lovely against her black fur. I am not sure how much she loves to wear it, I think she feels a bit restricted, but will see if she gets used to it. I tried it on the other dog but her hair kept getting snagged in the zip, so not sure it is a good idea for her after all. It looks and feels well made and it does look good on her.

Bought this item just over 2 weeks ago and its broken

Size small, worn by my miniature dachshund who weighs in at 3.89kg. This coat has a nice long body which covers my dachshunds back to just before her tail. The underneath covers her chest ( her lowest point and the point which is just a few inches off the ground) but leaves her “pee zone “ well clear. It is nice and warm, stays fastened with a belt and braces fastening system of clip and double loop for the lead to attach to and the rain just rolls off the top of it. It is washable which I find vital as my girl is so low to the floor her coats are washed after every wear in the autumn/ winter, I have also tumble dried it with no problem. I like that there are no fussy badges on this ( I normally unpick them!) but you do have a small pocket which could hold a poop bag and a Billy Idol style unnecessary zip (?) that doesn’t do anything and is just for style on the body of the coat. Her tags go on the lead loops fine too.
