Wellness CORE+ Dry Dog Food with Freeze Dried Pieces, Small Breed, Grain Free, High Protein, Natural, Original Turkey & Chicken Recipe, (10-Pound Bag)

Ordered this dog food on a recommendation from a friend who also has a dog that had reacted allergically to the food ingested prior to Wellness Core+. My dog has adapted to the food well and his allergy seems to be getting better. It has only been a month that the food has been used so I hope that a month or so more will eliminate the problem with my dog, who seems to love his new food.

I get this for my malitpoo and shih tzu

Both my pom/spitz mix and my maltipoo have been on Wellness as long as I’ve had them, but this is the first recipe they both actually enjoy. No kibbles left behind! It’s a few dollars more expensive than the regular kind, but the freeze dried bits make a huge difference. I’m so glad Wellness has a kibble that is nutritious AND delicious for my dogs, so I don’t have to keep mixing other things with it to make them eat it!

I've been using this dry food for well over a year. While it's not the primary feed for my dog he still loves it. The little freeze dried bits are definitely his go to but when those are gone he will munch happily at the kibble. No negative side effects and quality seems great. I did have 1 bag out of many that was really skimpy on the freeze dried bits but that seemed to be a one off

I've been buying the Wellness Core+ dog kibble for my 3 yorkies for about a year. They like it a lot. But I've noticed there tends to be large chunks in the kibble that my dogs have trouble eating. Their quality control is not monitoring this. I've also noticed the price dramatically increased sometime around the beginning of this year (2025). In November 2024 it was $38.40 for a 10 pound bag. In April 2025 it was $53, a 38% increase.

My Parson Russell Terrier is on Wellness Core RawRev Small Breed Grain Free with Turkey. He has acid reflux and this only helps a little with it (even with water added), but there has been zero diets which have helped at all. Any little bit is great. He tends to be nervous as he was re-homed to me, so the Turkey does assist in helping to keep him as chill as possible. I have received this food from Chewy, Petco, Petsmart and Amazon. The other stores have all been the same. I have never known the quality of the bag when it arrived until it was opened. Some had a ton of Turkey bits, some had hardly any and I had to add to the bags with the wellness core bowl boosters freeze dried Turkey so that it would match the prior bag(s). However, the quality I have received with Amazon is simply ASTONISHING! I have now received the initial order plus 4 subscription ships. This has been over about 3 months. Each and every bag was as if I had been at the factory and filled the bag right from the mixer. Super fresh, tons of Turkey bits that were mixed throughout the bag (I’ve had to mix the bags from the other stores so it was not just all in the top or bottom of bag), and no issues whatsoever with the food. He has been way happier eating it too! He has noticed the differences. I guess it is because Amazon is purchasing a lot of the food. However, one would think the other stores especially chewy were also purchasing a lot of it. I don’t know why Amazon’s quality is leaps and bounds above the others but it is. The price is the same if not cheaper than the other stores unless there happens to be a special or sale going on. Even then it is not worth risking the chance of getting a cruddy bag. I will not purchase his food from anywhere besides Amazon again! I only wish Amazon sold feed for other animals as if the quality and freshness of them went up it would be even more amazing!
