This is a lovely book that tells us about the people of Mumbai that have disappeared from our collective consciousness except of their names given to odd streets and markets. This book gives a personal face to people who built Mumbai (or Bombay really) and makes us stare into them as though introducing us to them in person. Written in most friendly conversational tone, I strongly recommend it to read.

A great read for those of us who love Mumbai

I have finished reading almost 80% of book, but honestly very nice and really informative and elaborative book. The information and data elements mentioned in this book not at all seem to be inaccurate or fake or planted.
