Makes a perfect angel food cake
I was so afraid of making this cake because I've never made an angel food cake before. But now I need it gluten free and got the cake mix and an angel food cake pan (you really need one of these, people). And yes, angel food cakes take 10 to 12 egg whites, gluten free perhaps more because gf baking requires a bit more liquid. Anyhow. I make the cake and it lofted high and turned out beautifully and had that perfect cottony texture. Wasn't gritty wasn't too sweet could not have been any more perfect. I made a trifle with it and it held up just fine to the wet ingredients tho it was also wonderful on its own. I definitely plan to make it again (I bought two boxes in case I flubbed the first one) and serve it the traditional angel food cake way with strawberries and whipped cream. Perhaps I'll stock up and make some more trifle in the future.

Love this product!
This is hard to find in local stores so I feel ready to be able to bake a cake or cupcakes when the need arises. Especially since it is gluten free and I have too many sensitivities to be able to buy a gluten free cake from local bakeries. Tastes so good too! I replace the oil with an equal amount of either unsweetened apple sauce or fruit juice. I like this as cupcakes baked in parchment papers. I had bought silicone ones and it changed the taste of the cake that I did not care for. Hope this helps!

Very good gluten free cake
I bought this to make a gluten free cake for a friend with celiac disease, and was very apprehensive about how it would turn out. It was perfect! Much to my relief, it rose up and was light and airy as an angel food cake should be. Everyone was happy, especially the friend who has been forced to give up most baked goods. He ate a big piece and took home the leftovers, with no ill effects.

Not quite a white cake
The cake was tasty. However. If you follow the directions to make it , that are on the box. It calls for 4 whole eggs. If you use these, then it is a yellow cake!!

Great cake mix
Yes it takes a lot of eggs, but it's Angel food cake...that's what they do. It has a great texture. I'm not gluten free but I'm making it for someone who is, I was very impressed by the moist airy cake this mix made. Easy to follow instructions. It's a little expensive but it is cheaper than buying all the different flours I won't likely use again

Lots of negativity about needing 12 egg whites - for anyone who has ever made ANY gluten free angel food cake, that’s standard. This mix just helps eliminate the need to getting GF flour and other little ingredients. This cake is 10/10. Flavour was great. Very easy to make. Again, it’s a bit cheaper to buy at the grocery store. But totally worth it if your stores sold out!

Delicious GF cake mix!! In stores around me I have only ever seen Yellow & chocolate cake mixes for Gluten-free (I am celiac), never white cake mixes. This was my first attempt trying white cake mix & let me tell you it was delicious! I made GF vanilla cake cupcakes with GF vanilla icing and rainbow star sprinkles in attempt to try some baking out before the holidays & to test some cake mixes for more Halloween baking soon :D. Instructions on the box were easy to follow, simple ingredients, and I did NOT use a mixer. I did my mixing by hand & these turned out so damn fluffy and delicious! There was no chalky taste to them at all like often with GF mixes, this was literally just a very moist, fluffy vanilla cake & I would recommend it to any bakers who are gluten free/celiac or sensitive to gluten. Great product!!!

I love this gluten free angel food cake mix! It tastes so good and it’s healthier than your typical angel food cake. It takes 12 eggs whites to make it, so it is a high protein cake. This is my go to cake for everyone gluten free in my life and it’s always a hit!

Great option if you need GF and DF products

Excellent product, tasted just like an angel food cake made from regular flour. Be aware that you will need to provide 12 egg whites (about 12 ounces if you are buying liquid egg white at the store.) I did find it a bit expensive compared to the non-gluten free mix and cakes we used to buy.
