Perfect Hawthorne strainer. Tight coils that catch most of the ice/fruit etc. Fits my shaker and mixing glass and very easy to close the gate one-handed. Stainless steel, so no worry about rusting. Recommended.

Good tight spring makes it easy to strain finely. Good weight and feel in the hand.

This works well as Hawthorne strainer and better than my first one with less coils, like in the picture. However where it lacks is the weight of the product therefore giving one less enjoyment out of the strainer as it feels a bit cheaply made and also the fact for £12 you can get one that does. I have bought the Barfly Premium Stainer which is heavier and looks more professional (for home use!) and now use this as my secondary one.

If you're looking for a strainer that's a step above the rest in terms of quality without getting some ridiculously expensive boutique nonsense then this is the one. It has a far tighter coil than run of the mill strainers and the back is nice and sturdy, as opposed to being some "designed down to a budget" part that flexes under the pressure of a sideways glance never mind your finger holding it on to a glass or shaker..

Looks good, fits well, easy to use. "Spring" comes off & goes back easily. Improved my espresso martini's no end.

V good quality. I would have gotten a cheaper one but this was on prime and I needed it next day. Unless you’re using at a bar the ones with the wider spaced coils are fine, in fact I’ve worked at a cocktail bar and we used the wider ones..! :)

The best feature of this strainer is the high quality tight coil, which is great at keeping small ice shards, muddled fruit, etc. out of the finished drink. Also, I run mine through the dishwasher and have had no problems with rusting or any other quality issues. The only possible downside is the strainer itself has a slightly smaller diameter than some similar competing products. For example, it fits perfectly in a pint glass / tumbler side of a boston shaker, but has some play in the larger shaker tin side. Some other brands fit more snugly in the tin side and are a tight squeeze into the pint glass side. In practical use, this doesn't matter as I'm always holding the strainer onto the vessel I'm pouring out of, and the prongs are plenty wide to keep the strainer securely on top. All in all if I needed another hawthorne strainer, this would be my first stop.

Ottimo strainer in acciaio inossidabile. Piccolo ma robusto e d estremamente maneggiabile. Lo consiglio molto!

Hasta ahora lo he usado en mis cócteles que preparo en el vaso de mezclas. Buen resultado; parece bastante solido y de buena calidad. Filtra bien, sin retener el líquido. Se ajusta muy bien al vaso de mezclas.
