Great rod my only complaint is the style of hook keeper. Since it's not attached to the rod fully it has just the lower side open when I would do a long cast when my braided line would come flying off the spool it would sometimes wrap around the rod just enough to catch that lip dead stopping my cast. First couple times was kinda just annoying but the 3rd time it happen it snapped my line sending my $15 whopper plopper off to the ether so I grabbed my pliers and ripped it right off... It's very light weight, seems pretty durable and for the value for the money, it had almost all the features I'd like on a rod. Oh also the last few eyelets are very small so even doing a fg knot as small and tight as possible still catches so can't use as long of a leaders as I'd like. Feels good in the hands

I was looking for a new 7' medium heavy spinning rod for a trip coming up. I don't normally buy 2 pc rods but thought I would for this trip. I was impressed with the other KastKing products I have seen and used so I decided to try this one and I am glad I did. It came packaged very well in a tube, in a box. The tube is sturdy enough you could use it as a rod tube to carry the rod in on a trip and not worry about it getting broke and if you do break a tip it comes with another complete top section. It cast well with light line ( 10 LB Braid ) and light lures ( 1/8 oz )as well as heaver line ( 30 LB braid )and heaver lures (1/2 to 3/4 oz) has good sensitivity for a rod at this price. The EVA foam handles have a good fill, and it's light and very balanced with several reels I tried it with ( 2500 to a 4000) size. If you are looking for a good rod at a good price I don't think you will go wrong.

Great product, great feel looking forward to my first catch, just remember these come with a second tip so when/if you break a tip you have a second one to fill in.

KastKing has become a very competitive fishing brand, and the value for your money is excellent. I really loved the colors and how lightweight the reel is. I’ve been using it for a full season now and haven’t had any issues. I even caught an 8 lb largemouth out of Lake Norman with it, which was my biggest catch so far—and yes, I practice catch and release. The casting ability is smooth and reliable. The rod comes apart into two sections for transport, which is convenient, but I wouldn’t recommend separating it every time. Constant assembly and disassembly could eventually weaken the rod. It’s better to keep it in one piece if possible—fold your back seat, use a truck, or store it in your boat. Pros: Lightweight and easy to handle Excellent casting ability Durable and reliable over a full season Great value for the price Attractive color design Cons: Not ideal to disassemble frequently, may weaken over time Conclusion: This KastKing fishing rod and reel combo is a dependable, high-value choice for anglers. It’s lightweight, durable, and performs well for both casual and serious fishing. Just keep it mostly in one piece to maintain its long-term durability.

I got the 6’6 medium casting rod & that thing is nice! The sensitivity is there, but what really impressed me was the strength of the rod. It’s a strong rod! Overall it was a excellent purchase!

Affordable and perfect for a new fisherman. I bought this model for my grandson as his first "real" rod. Just a great combination and very affordable. I'm sure it will last him a long, long time.

I have ALOT of fishing gear, and this for the price is great. It’s got a nice action and feel, and so far the durability is great, and I’m not worried because it comes with an extra tip. The casting distance is not the best, but again for the price it’s great. Comparing this to a middle end rod like my halo carbon rod, this performance is just as good.
