Great, lightweight reels that don't break the bank when you use them for their intended purpose.
I have them in 2500, 3000, and 4000 series. Are they as strong as full metal reels? Nope, but they are lightweight, well balanced, travel well, relatively small, operate smoothly, and get the job done. I'm an admitted Daiwa fanboy, and there's nothing wrong with Penn and other top brands, but these are great little reels for the money and do what I want them to for most situations. When they're not the right reel for the situation, I use something else.

Great Reel…!
I paired this with a St. Croix Avid panfish rod and it quickly became my go to.! This reel is super smooth and balanced. When paired with this rod it’s a match made in heaven. Highly recommend this reel.

Shout out to team Daiwa. What an amazing reel. I have many different reels, but hadn't had a daiwa since.i was a kid. Let me tell you, I am highly impressed with the smoothness of this reel. Very stylish, performance & looks. Smooth & quiet. Very reliable drag.
Good drag, it’s been tested plenty. The usual you get from Diawa, best drags overall. Very smooth and tight on the retrieve, easy to switch to back reel, which I like to do at times. A very quiet reel too, sounds funny but on my son’s reel flipping the bail is even quiet. The grip is very comfortable. Just a good worth the money product.

Best reel Ive used!
Best reel I've ever used in my life and I have a lot of reels! Perfect for jigging for walleye or to catch bass and has a very quality drag system and it is very light!
