This game console is great. it's fun to have a machine like this that has early-tech, interesting games in contrast to the ultra high res and realistic ones we're used to these days. it takes me back to a simpler time, hanging out with my friends at the local arcade.The system comes ready to run out of the box. It's simple to set up and start playing. I've read other reviews by people who claim to have problems. I haven't had any issues at all. There are tons of games to choose from and they boot up and play without any delays or headaches. Perhaps others have used faulty cables or something. No way to know, but I can tell you that mine is awesome. I have it connected to a large LCD television and the picture is fantastic. My grandchildren are at our home very often and choose this to play over the X-Box. Who would believe that. There's just something special about the old games and this console has them all.I wholeheartedly recommend this fun gaming system. It's an outstanding value and high quality. Overall its pretty awesome, learning the controls and screens is annoying, has lag sometimes... but it saved me $1000s on having to rebuy games and systems I had or dont work..

Games are generic look alikes. In some cases with a thousand versions of the same game.

Received this product today based on reviews online I was in for hours of nostalgia but the system would not load past the initial splash screen. Sad but this is being returned/refunded.

So far so good with this game console. It does take a lot of aaa batteries so make sure to have them! I found the instructions for setting up very confusing so I pretty-much ignored them—and it was an easy setup. I just plugged the hdmi cable to my tv (an LG) and it started right up. There is a lot to scroll through on the screen and many of the games are in a language other than English— but this didn’t stop my 10- year old from playing the adventure games. The only thing I did not do was count the number of games it comes with!

The idea of having 60,000 games in one system sounded amazing, but the reality was a letdown. A lot of the games are just duplicates or knockoffs, and the system itself felt cheap. It struggled to load properly, and when it did, many games had issues running smoothly. The controllers felt laggy, making gameplay frustrating. If you're looking for an actual nostalgic experience, I’d say skip this one and invest in something better.

It is indeed all setup and ready to go out of the box. I was worried that it would be hard to navigate the various emulators and all of the ROMs included but on first boot it went straight to the UI that let you use the controllers (bluetooth with included dongles x 2). There are indeed a lot of old school games on here. I guess the biggest problem I had and the reason I didn't go the full 5 stars is that I just didn't find the old games as fun as I had hoped. You gotta remember that those consoles were not the fastest in the world. For example, there is a pretty long time between when you pick a PS1 game and when you actually get to the ability to play it - that's a limitation of the PS1 not necessarily this console. But this thing did deliver as described -lots of emulators, lots of ROMs, and a very workable and intuitive front end to navigate through all of it.
