Been wearing only chuck taylors for YEARS and YEARS. I know they fall apart and are uncomfortable but it's what I like. These new style have arches built in and thicker soles. This is my 2nd pair and my first pair is just now starting to fall apart - 1 year old. I am pretty hard on shoes and the original chucks usually last about 8 months.
