Shipped quickly and the awesome folks at Plank Supply tossed in a pair of grippy florescent cotton work gloves. Squirrels won’t chew through these! Had plastic buckets with $20 screw lids and they destroyed the lids. I am curious how long it takes them to figure out the latch? ;) Note: labels were not included.

Picked these up to hold emergency dehydrated food. These make the food rodent proof so garage storage isn't a concern. Found that you can easily fit a whole Mountain House Bucket worth into one pail. It is actually due to arrive today or tomorrow and I've had them for two days now.

It's a metal pail just like ones used for adhesive or roofing tar, not very thick and will probably dent easily if tried. For me its exactly what I was looking for. The air tight clamp for the lid does have sharp edges but the company sent a pair of gloves with it and says to wear them when working the clamp. It seems like it would be good for the intended uses that are listed. This is just an unboxing review, I havent used it yet for the purpose I bought it for, I'm still waiting for another part. Personally Im planning to use this as part of a dust containment system I am making for cleaning out my pellet stove and wood burner. A pre-separator cyclone will be attached to the lid of this metal pail which will act as the collector for the ash. The whole system will be powered by a shop vac. I needed something air tight that wouldn't melt or catch fire if a hot ash happened to go into it. Hopefully this works as I planned.

I bought these to store my grains and scratch for my chickens. I needed something rodents couldn't chew through. These seemed perfect but I almost sent them back because I wasn't strong enough to get the lids to close when I put them on the buckets - they came closed and off in shipping. The lids worked fine when not on the buckets. I struggled and just couldn't get them to close. I had a stronger friend muscle them closed, which was good, but no way was I going to be able to build enough muscle to do that - I'm old(ish). BUT - TaDa! much to my surprise, that first closing must have stretched them out a bit because now they close tightly, but VERY easily! Hope this tip help someone else!

I ordered this item twice. The first time there was one that was so bent up I could not put the lid on. The second order came and 5 were bent to the point where I could not get the lids on. Thinking I would return them but after 2 days they were so rusted that I couldn't return them. They are very flimsy. Don't waste your money.

Great quality… perfect for storing liquid products in garage space.. good value for the price… Lids fit perfectly… do not leak!!

Took some time to figure out how to get the lid sealed but once I got it adjusted right it’s been working great for storing bird food outside. Squirrels can’t seem to even smell it and haven’t tried to get into it so it seems airtight. Holds about 20lbs of bird seed, great price too!
