Having had other good quality dash cams professionally fitted, i obviously did a lot of research before deciding on the VANTRUE N4 Pro 4K 3. I can honestly say it was an extremely sound investment indeed. The camera does integrate well with the phone that I have and I think there may be a slight problem in the area I live in as the signal strength isn't particularly great and it does struggle to connect between the phone and the camera but I think this is more of an issue with the connectivity rather than the camera itself. There are a great deal of settings and features in this camera and it does take some considerable time to workout what features you want to set for your own particular circumstances. Personally, I wanted to ensure that the camera wasn't operating at peak rate all of the time because that appeared to generate an enormous amount of heat, which in turn is not good for the storage on the micro SD card. I was a little reticent to spend out money on a large memory SD card but having had professional dash cams in the past that appeared to chew through SD cards at a rate of knots, this appears to be a sound investment and the camera doesn't appear to be overly warm at any point in time. The front camera has been mounted mainly behind the rear view mirror on the screen and the rear camera is extremely small indeed and doesn't obscure the view. In summary it gives me some degree of confidence that the car is adequately covered, and I also have the option of the cockpit camera if I want it. While this camera attracts a premium price, it is exceptionally good quality and the Peace of Mind is worth the asking price of alone.

One standout feature is its advanced night vision capability. Whether it's low-light conditions or pitch-black nights, the N4 Pro consistently delivers sharp and clear footage. I was particularly amazed when, on the very first night of owning the dashcam, it effectively captured the license plate of an SUV driving towards me with its high beams on. Installation was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly design and included mounting accessories. Despite its compact size, the dashcam doesn't obstruct my view while driving, yet still offers a sufficiently large display for easy viewing of playback footage and navigation menus. The built-in GPS accurately tracks speed, providing crucial data in case of an incident. Moreover, the G-sensor automatically detects collisions and locks the footage to prevent it from being overwritten, although I did find the sensitivity of the directional G-sensors needed some adjustment to avoid false alarms. Personally, I opted for hardwired installation, which allows me to access a range of passive security options such as motion detection and low FPS recording (timelapse) when away from my vehicle. This added layer of security is especially comforting during long-distance travels in less secure areas. In summary, the Vantrue N4 Pro 4K Dash Cam has surpassed all my expectations in terms of performance, reliability, and ease of use. While the price may seem steep at first glance, the potential savings in insurance premiums and peace of mind make it a worthwhile investment. Highly recommended! (Note: I have attached photos of my installation, although I couldn't fish the rear camera through the boot wiring loom as intended. However, it's securely tucked away and has shown no signs of damage from the boot lid. I'll provide updates if any issues arise. Also, I haven't included content from the dashcam itself as I believe the YouTube video mentioned earlier does a thorough job of showcasing its capabilities.)

The Dashcam is really good, the video and pictures quality is brilliant. Only issue is the set up instructions and the long wires. I had to use YouTube to set up the dash-cam and I didn’t hard wire it as it was too much hard work😃 I wish wire clips were included or the rear camera was Bluetooth enabled or wireless. I had these long wires dangling everywhere so I only use the front camera which also records, the front of the car, inside the car and the rear of the car. The rear view recording with the front dash-cam is the similar to looking into your rear view mirror. I had issues with recording after 1 week and replace the SD card. You need a card reader to view the recordings if you don’t want view them in your car. To view the recordings in the car, you need to download the app and also have to be close enough to the camera or the WiFi won’t work. So far so good!

First impressions? This might just be the best boxed dash cam on the market. It delivers a strong initial impact with its sleek design and premium feel. I installed it in my BYD EV. The setup was fairly straightforward. The front camera records can 4K, while the rear captures in 2.5K. It’s a bit bulkier than my previous unit, and I found the voice commands a little flaky (Perhaps my Aussie accent threw it off). The rear camera is IP67 waterproof rated (whatever that means), which allows for external installation. I opted to mount it inside the car to avoid drilling into my new vehicle. That said, the rear mount is clearly designed for external use near the number plate, which makes internal placement a bit awkward. One gripe I have is with the collision detection; it's overly sensitive. Speed bumps and potholes frequently trigger photo captures. Still, I’d rather have it err on the side of caution than miss someone sideswiping my car and driving off without a trace. Pros * Exceptional Video Quality: 4K front and 2.5K rear recording deliver stunning clarity. * Flexible Recording Options: You can choose to record with one, two, or all three cameras. ( I personally disabled the cabin cam) * Premium Design & Build: It feels solid and looks great—other brands could learn a thing or two from Vantrue. * Feature-Rich Menus: Tons of customisation options make it easy to tailor the experience to your needs. Cons * Installation Challenges: The cable placement on the right side feels awkward; top-mounted would’ve been better. * Limited Mount Movement: The front camera mount lacks flexibility. A redesign could improve adjustability. * Rear Cable Routing: I had to run the rear camera cable through a panel near the airbag. Hopefully, this won’t be an issue in an accident, but it’s a concern shared across most dash cams. Overall, despite a few quirks, this dash cam stands out for its video quality and brilliant design. If Vantrue can refine the mounting and cable layout in future models, they’ll have an unbeatable product.

使用中のN4との比較になります。本体はN4より一回り大きく、重たくなっていますが、問題なく取り付ける事ができました。N 4も画質は良いですが、これよりも大幅に画質は良く、昼夜問わず前後カメラともにナンバープレートも読みやすいので満足度は高いです。

Possibly from the -40° Temps in Northern Canada? *Thankfully I had purchased the OBD Hardwire kit when I bought dashcam (that was tucked away under my back seat and when I opened it to use after the standard 12v adapter failed, I realized the OBD Hardwire kit has a switch that cuts Dashcam power off when your vehicles battery drops to 12.4, 12.0 or 11.6 volts to prevent battery from draining if Dashcam is left on for Parking Mode) I am now using this Hardwire plug and am happy I bought this because I like it MUCH better than the standard 12v adapter. I did contact Vantrue customer support right away about the standard 12v adapter failing, and to my surprise they responded immediately and offered to replace the 12v Adapter when i explained what happened. Vantrue Customer Support has been Awesome, with Prompt replies & Hassle-Free warranty replacement for the charging cable! *Initially (and before I remembered I had bought the OBD Hardwire Kit stored under my back seat) I expected to wait forever to get a response and have a big hassle trying to get the 12v adapter replaced but was Pleasantly surprised when they wrote back later the same day and offered a quick replacement. Very happy I decided to go with Vantrue for my Dashcam. I feel much better knowing I have a Vantrue Dashcam recording as I drive. The image quality is awesome, Thankfully I've only needed to download videos (directly and easily) to my cell phone thru the built in wifi of Wildlife during my travels to show friends & family - and not actual accident videos. Several of the people I showed the videos to couldnt believe the image quality was so good. I researched many Dashcam brands, and Vantrue stood out in many reviews because of their Quality Products. When i unboxed the Dashcam, I was very happy to see the high-quality compinents in the box from the Cords to the window/dash mounts and Dashcam itself. Even the bags each piece was wrapped with inside the box wasnt just some cheaply made garbage. The OBD Hardwire Kit even came in a nice nice quality box and was packaged very well. You definitely know that you purchased a High-End, Quality product when unboxing everything! Vantrue clearly cares about Quality and their customer service! I'll say it again - HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Ich nutze die VANTRUE N4 Pro S (4K) jetzt seit einiger Zeit und bin insgesamt wirklich sehr zufrieden. Die Bildqualität in 4K ist tagsüber extrem detailliert – Kennzeichen und wichtige Details sind klar erkennbar. Auch bei Nacht liefert die Kamera ein überzeugendes Ergebnis mit guter Helligkeit und solider Schärfe. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Mehrkanal-Aufnahme (Front/Innen/Heck je nach Setup): Man hat im Zweifel wirklich alles dokumentiert, was auf der Straße oder am Fahrzeug passiert. Die Bedienung ist logisch, die Menüs sind verständlich, und die Kamera wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet. Der Parkmodus (mit Hardwire-Kit) gibt zusätzlich Sicherheit, und die Loop-Aufnahme funktioniert zuverlässig – man muss sich im Alltag um nichts kümmern. Insgesamt eine sehr gute Kombination aus Qualität, Funktionen und Alltagstauglichkeit. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die eine leistungsstarke Dashcam suchen und Wert auf saubere Aufnahmen und zuverlässige Dokumentation legen.
