Genuine Mountfield Carburettor for RS100 Engine Found On HP414 SP414 and Others

I originally bought a cheaper carb marketed as a suitable replacement for my Mountfield RS100 mower, but just could not get that to run for more than a few seconds after priming. The Mountfield replacement does cost more but works brilliantly and is easy to fit. The engine was previously “hunting” but now runs smoothly.

Easy to fit replacement for my lawnmower. But. There was a little damage in transit, the small L-shaped connector was broken off. Luckily I was able to gently remove the one from the original carb.

Bought this for my Mountfield petrol mower which was struggling to start up and would also stutter and stall. Cleaned out the existing carb but it made no difference. Having installed the new one along with new gaskets, the mower now starts first time every time and shows no signs of stalling. Just go onto the internet to see how easy it si the replace the carbs and away you go. All you need is a 10mm socket wrench and a flat screw driver.

My lawnmower would quite happy start then after a second or two stop. It was clearly a fuel problem and I could find nothing blocking the fuel lines etc. So decided to bite the bullet and change the carburettor and that fixed it. This is an excellent replacement for the one on the RS100 engine but be aware it does not come with gaskets. You need to order those separately.

Good price, easy to fit but make sure you also order a gasket set before changing the carburettor.

Brought this as my lawnmower was playing up. I had already cleaned the old carburettor and it was still acting up so I thought let's buy a new one bit I wasn't sure if the carburettor was the issue with it but wish. I had brought it sooner the mower works and sounds like a dream now and I saved my self alot of money by doing it my self too. So glad I learnt how to do this
