Lot of (10) Pancake 1/4" Inch (6.3mm) Right Angle 90 Degree Mono Male Plugs

In a nutshell, these plugs have a solder terminals insulator material that did not and does not melt from the heat of my soldering iron, which results in the solder terminals maintaining tight-good-contact with the plug tip and sleeve after the soldering is done. This is critical in the case of making or repairing speaker cables used with guitar amplifiers, especially with tube type guitar amplifiers, because if you were to lose the speaker connection integrity it can and usually results in significant damage to the amplifier. I will be soon making a few amplifier-to-speaker connection cables utilizing these pancake style plugs for my combo-style guitar amplifiers.

Perfect for my new pedal board build.

The jack plugs are ideal for pedal because they are thin where it matters in close quarters on pedal boards. However the plug length needs to more carefully controlled and monitored for consistentcy.

These plugs are probably great to instrument cable but they are too large and don’t clamp down on patch cables like mogami 2319. They only thing keep the wires from pulling out is the solder joint itself. I will have to add 2 or 3 layers of heat shrink to provide durability.

6 of the 10 had continuity between the tip and sleeve lugs. Meaning the signal is shorted to ground, and the pancake jacks are completely useless.

They are a little flimsy, but I haven’t had any issues so far.
