It's easy to read, has a nice pace to it and keeps it interesting. I will definitely get the next one for him. Review: Great soccer book - This is a continuation of this series of books that hasn’t disappointed thus far. Strongly recommended for your soccer playing/loving child. I mostly read it to him but at third grade he can read it easily himself.

If your kid loves soccer or futbol, this book series is absolutely a must read!
My nearly 7 year old son is a huge soccer fan. And we've read now the first 3 in the series. They're just so completely awesome! We love them all! And now we're about to buy book 4 in the series. Can't wait! If your kid loves soccer or futbol, this book series is absolutely a must read! Parents will love it as well.

Big hit!
Bought for a 9 year old who loves reading as much as he loves playing soccer. These books were a big hit! He even shared them with a few teammates who like to read.

These are great books!
My 10 year old son loves this series! Like others have said he is into soccer but not so much reading in general. These are some of the few books that he'll read by himself and they are definitely his favorite books. And as an adult I actually really enjoy them too. It's a diamond in the rough story about an athlete coming up through the ranks. Lots of good soccer action for young fans. I think it has motivated my son to play hard and practice more too.

Excellent read! My 3 kids (7y - 13y) and I really enjoyed reading series 1-3 and are so much looking forward to the release of book no. 4. We just can't stop reading about Leo's exciting football adventures.

The third instalment of, 'The Academy' series by T.Z Layton is another winning book detailing the youth football adventures of Leo .K. Doyle. This time, everyone's favourite 'yank' is in Europe and, whilst the vivid descriptions of European cities and edge-of-your seat football games keep you enthralled throughout, perhaps the most intriguing part of this book is the mystery that runs throughout it. My 9yo and I are reading it together and we're thoroughly enjoying ourselves, theorising who the culprit(s) may be! As much as we love Leo, experiencing JoJo's character develop so brilliantly in this third instalment of, 'The Academy' is an absolute joy. My son and I literally cannot wait for book 4! Highly recommended!

My 11 year old footballing daughter loves this series and how the author describes excitingly how the matches are being played out - just a shame the books are so hard to get other than via Amazon. She's read them all and keen for the next one to be released! Note the author is American so children might not always understand some of the references.

This is a great book. For kids and adults who like football this is an awesome read. Only complaint is being written by an american the book incorrectly keeps calling football, soccer and has this oh I am an American playing football attitude and isn't in love with the really originally great clubs like Liverpool and Man U, but seems to be an oil and plastic money Chelsea and Man city
