Review: PURE PERFECTION! - Okay, let’s talk about this book in detail! And by that, I mean… how do I even start talking about it?! I have no idea how to put my feelings into words because Play Along isn’t just a book—it’s an experience. You know how some stories just stay with you forever? The characters feel like family, and you’d rage a war for them? That’s Play Along for me. The characters. The story. The theme. Everything was on point. I knew from the prologue—this was going to be my best read of the year. Let’s start with the cover. It’s stunning, but once you read the book? It clicks. The thunderstorm? ⛈️ Oh god. Every time it was mentioned, I just wanted to hug Isaiah. THIS MAN DESERVES THE WORLD. And by world, I mean his wife. Because when he declared in chapter one that Ken was going to be his future wife? I SCREAMED. This book healed something in me. And honestly? Very few books can do that. There are so many moments where you’ll: ✔️ Swoon!! ✔️ Cry!! ✔️ Giggle!! ✔️ Feel single!! ✔️ Fall in love!! ✔️ Feel single again!! Isaiah notices every single thing about Ken, and honestly? That’s the hottest thing a man could ever do. He knows what he wants and goes for it. He remembers everything about her, and that makes me so sad because this man is fictional even in the fictional world. He is the whole damn desertcart. AND THE WAY HE TAKES CARE OF HER?! → Saved her number as THE MRS. → Makes sure she eats because she forgets (hello, king, but who’s taking care of you?!) → Takes her side no matter what. → Would do anything for her happiness. Liz, I’m blaming you for raising my standards so high that there’s no coming back. Now, let’s talk about Ken. I live, laugh, love this woman. She’s been through so much, and she deserved the world. And the best part? She got it—in the form of her husband. Her character development? On point. She made the boldest choice—putting love first, not because she didn’t want her dream job, but because she couldn’t leave the one person who mattered the most. Love demands sacrifice, and both of them gave everything they could. And it was perfect. This book is PERFECTION, and if you love romance? If you need a good romance read this February? Play Along is HERE to make you feel single—no matter your relationship status. I have highlighted the whole damn book!!! I missed romance so much, and this book reminded me why I love it. Consider this your sign: put this book on your priority TBR NOW. Review: 4.5 ⭐️ — Isaiah Rhodes!! - This book was absolutely adorable! Isaiah is the ultimate golden retriever MMC—completely smitten with Kennedy from the very beginning, and it shows in the best way. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this couple based on the little glimpses we got in the previous book, but I ended up loving them together! They slipped so effortlessly into the Windy City family dynamic, which made my heart so happy. I especially loved how Isaiah supported Kennedy as she worked through the emotional wounds from her cold, neglectful upbringing. As someone who doesn’t naturally express affection through physical touch, I found Kennedy’s journey so relatable. Watching Isaiah patiently and lovingly help her explore her boundaries was incredibly touching. And can we talk about Kai Rhodes? He made me tear up AGAIN, and it’s not even his book! He’s easily my favorite Windy City MMC so far. The only reason I’m giving this 4.5 stars instead of 5 is that I wish there had been more closure regarding Kennedy’s family and the way they treated her. Other than that, I absolutely loved this story!

Play along
It’s a fast-paced, "comfort read" that handles mental health with surprising tenderness. If you love the "He falls first" trope, this is definitely for you.

The best book I read in 2025
Holy mother!!!! What a book. Isaiah Rhodes is my husband now. What a guy. What did you do to my brain Liz Tomforde🤯🤯🤯 I am just constantly recommending everyone this book. The bond between kai and Isaiah is adorable. The fact that vee and zee from Mile High were also there and it healed a part of my heart. When it comes to how she has described Kennedy how she wants to be comfortable in a relationship the way kenny wants Rhodes to teach her intimacy was just so relatable! I have never written such a long review of anything in my life it clearly shows how much I love this book.

Women in power
I couldn't stop reading this book, started and finished it within a day. At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this because I didn't enjoy Caught up (guess that wasn't for me) But, this? ..... I am so glad I was wrong! ...... Don't we all love a boy obsessed? Kennedy was also one of my favorite FMCs alongside Indy. Isaiah was super sweet, flirty, funny and Oh-so hot! He was everything! Okay, but also are we getting a book about Emmett and Reese? Because, I would definitely read it. Same goes for Cody and Travis (not together) I was also expecting Dean to be traded into the Warriors later. I don't know why.... I feel like he could get a book too. But, hopefully Windy city series continues after Rio's book.....And, Rio! Finally, I can't wait to read his story.

Loved this book
I have already reread this multiple times so it's no doubt I love this book. Isaiah and Kenny are one of my favourite couples now, close to Ryan and Indy. Their relationship was such an emotional and beautiful journey to read. Definitely recommend
