2009 Anti-Friction Oil Treatment -pk2

Love this stuff. Helps preserve timing chain, cam and all those other bits that benefit from molybdenum especially if you follow those crazy long oil change intervals i.e. 10,000 miles. I swear by it but still change my oil on my Lexus at 5,000. Who want a bad bottom end when it can so easily be avoided.

First it works if that's what you're reading for. Make sure you bring the engine up to temperature, shut it off, add this then restart so it mixes with the hot oil that circulates through your engine. Let it run for 5-10 minutes before shutting off so it has time to blend well - for details read the rest of the review My wife drives a 2019 Hyundai Accent. I have been meticulous in maintenance since the day we bought it. The engine calls for 4 quarts of oil I've always put 5 in it, a practice I don't recommend for every car but in this one it's fine. Anyway it's gotten Pennzoil Ultra platinum 5w20 in the winter and 5w30 in the summer never going more than a hundred or two miles past 3000 miles between changes. I use wix filters which I ordered by the dozen. Keep the gdi system clean, you can eat off the engine. I've put ngk ruthenium spark plugs in it, in short it's well taken care of. With the car having 120000+ miles on it now it's not quite as quiet running as when it was brand new obviously. Pricing new cars made me research additives for the engine oil & try to extend the life of this one. 99% percent of oil additives are actually counterintuitive and dilute/alter the additive package, some create corrosion , some like Lucas are nothing but heavy weight based stock with tacifiers however mos2 (moly) is truly different & will not cause detrimental effects. This product was developed originally to prevent aircraft engine pistons from seizing in the bore if the aircraft had a sudden loss in oil. It's from Germany, we all know what intellectual perfectionist they are. I put the entire 300ml/10.1oz bottle in the engine once it was up to temperature then shut off. The results upon restarting the engine were immediately noticed. The sligt valvetrain noise was gone & stayed gone, the engine ran smoother with much less vibration. Upon driving it the engine seemed to accelerate easier & faster. It sounds & feels like it did when I brought it home. I will continue to use this product for the foreseeable future & I have bought a second bottle for my 1993 Jeep 4.0 inline 6cyl

I picked up the Liqui Moly 2-pack mostly out of curiosity after hearing good things about it. For the price, it seemed like a low-risk way to see if it would make any noticeable difference. I’ve used it in both my 2018 Nissan Frontier and my 1995 Nissan Skyline GTR, and while I wouldn’t say it transformed anything, both engines did seem to run a little smoother after adding it. Idle felt slightly quieter and throttle response seemed just a bit more consistent. It’s possible some of that is a placebo effect, but overall, I’m not disappointed with the results. I didn’t notice any change in fuel mileage or power, so if you’re expecting big performance gains, this probably isn’t the product for that. But as a mild friction reducer or “extra layer of protection,” it feels like a decent option — especially for older engines or higher-mileage vehicles. Pros: Easy to use and mix in with your regular oil May smooth out engine noise and idle Priced fairly, especially for a 2-pack Reputable brand with good track record Cons: No noticeable change in fuel economy or power Results can be subtle and may vary by engine Overall, I’d call this a nice preventative additive that’s worth trying at least once. I’ve been using this product for years. In both naturally aspirated engines and turbocharged engines. It does quiet down lifters and timing chains. But I have also gained MPG. Keep in mind this is formulated for additional protection with your oil. Old formula but proven over the years. I use it every oil change and never had any residues or sludge buildup from it

This product blows Hotshot and any other brand Diesel oil additive out of the water. Does your 7.3 or 6.0 power stroke have old worn out injectors or noticing your truck feels under power? Helps restore power and quiets down the top end of the engine. Totally worth the money and a fraction of the other companies.

Using in my 2006 Toyota rav4 as I was “lucky” enough to buy one that has the infamous oil burning issue :( since using with every oil change I’ve noticed less oil burning & better fuel consumption.

I love this product, even with it's price. Works great in my car. Been using it since the New Vehicle warranty is over. I found a locally made product for cheaper, I'll come back to tell you if this one is better.

Have always been very skeptical of engine oil additives other than oil flush. Have heard nothing but good things about liqui-moly products and was impressed by the chemistry behind this molybdenum disulfide additive so decided to give it a try. Have used half a bottle in my 2017 AMG-mercedes and immediately noticed a slightly smoother and quieter idle, as well as more willingness to rev to higher RPM under heavy acceleration. Obviously oil additives aren't going to give you another 50HP overnight, but certainly did make a noticeable positive difference. I've since added a half bottle to my 2009 2.5L Subaru as well with similar positive results. Another great use for this product seems to be small engines. After reading of others doing the same, I used about 1/8th to 1/4 of a bottle in our older Honda GCV160 lawnmower, noticeable increase in power and decrease in oil consumption. I was slightly nervous when first using this product as it does not look much like motor oil, it's a very "pencil lead grey" coloured fluid, which does slightly change the appearance of your engines oil. However after doing enough reading I was satisfied that it was safe, and have had nothing but good things to say thus far. Liqui-moly additives may seem a bit more expensive than other additives at the hardware store, but that's a small price to pay for a product that is NOT snake oil, and actually works. 5 stars
